Arson in New Ipswich
On January 8, 2005 at 2305 hrs, New Ipswich Police and Fire departments responded to 285 Turnpike Road
for a report of a car on fire. Upon arriving at the scene Officer Eric Godfrey spoke with a witness who
told them that a white four-door car had pulled into to the driveway and turned off its lights. The
witness then observed two males approach a 1999 Buick Century owned by a Laurette Lacroix, of New Ipswich,
NH. As he went outside to confront the subjects, the witness realized that the car was on fire and
notified the police.
An attempt to locate broadcast was put out on the white four-door car, which was located and stopped by
the Mason Police Department. The occupants of the vehicle were arrested on unrelated offenses, and
transported to the New Ipswich Police Department for processing. As a result of further investigation,
the three occupants of the vehicle and another subject were arrested by Officer Godfrey for setting fire
to the vehicle.

The four subjects were placed on $5,000 Cash Bail and transported to the Hillsborough County House of
Corrections (Valley Street Jail) with an arraignment date of Monday January 10, 2005.
