Fraud Alert

On February 12, 2008 a New Ipswich resident reported that someone took money out of his checking account without his permission after he bought some games online for his son. The first incident occurred on January 20th and the second occurred on February 11th. A company called JMA Internet took the money from the account both times. The resident determined that he had been the victim of fraud and notified the police department. He also found that there were numerous complaints against the same company, which is not based in the United States.

As the company is not in this country, police are unable to file charges, but they want to make other residents aware of the scam.
