Police Arrest Two After Vehicle Stop
One Turned Over to Immigration



On February 26, 2007 at 11:48 PM, New Ipswich Police stopped a vehicle for speeding on Turnpike Road. The driver, Enrique Arcos (pictured upper left, 45, of Leominster, MA was subsequently arrested and charged with Operating Without a Valid License. He was released on $1,000.00 PR bail with a court date of March 27, 2007.

The passenger in the vehicle was identified as Bragio Clovis (pictured upper right), 51, also living in Leominster, MA, but a citizen of Brazil. It was determined that there was a warrant from Immigrations and Customs Enforcement for Clovis. He was arrested on the warrant and was transported to Cheshire County Jail, to be held for Immigration and Customs Enforcement Officers for deportation hearings.
