If you are involved in an accident, you should call the Police immediately. If anyone is injured, or
if fluids are leaking from any vehicles, you should call 911. Otherwise, you can call 603-878-2771.
If at all possible, do not move any of the vehicles involved. In order to investigate an accident, the Police
will need to see where the vehicles were when it happened.
If there is no personal injury and the total damage is under $1,000.00 then the Police cannot write
a report. They will provide you with a copy of a State of New Hampshire Operator's Accident Report. The
directions are printed on the form, but the officer can assist you with any questions you may have.
If you want to report an accident that occurred in the past, and both vehicles have left the scene of the
accident, even if there was personal injury and/or more than $1,000.00 damage, the Officer will be
unable to investigate and will provide you with a State of New Hampshire Operator's Accident Report.
Officers cannot investigate an accident to which they did not respond. Drivers are strongly encouraged to
report an accident as soon as it occurs.
A copy of the State of New Hampshire's Operator Accident Report is available online. Download it here
and print it. Fill out the required information and send it to the address
listed at the top of page one.
