12/30/01 to 01/05/02-

Sunday 12/30/01-

12:12: Police received a report that there were children on the ice by Highbridge Road. Police checked the area twice and did not find anyone in the area.

12:24: Juvenile complaint: A resident of New Ipswich reported that she is having difficulties with her 9 year old daughter. She was advised to file a CHINS petition with the court.

12:44: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Greenville Police with a transport in Greenville.

20:50: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Mason Police on Route 31 with an arrest.


Monday 12/31/01-

12:27: Property Damage: A New Ipswich resident reported that her former tenant, who had been evicted, had caused significant damage to the property prior to leaving. She was advised that the damage, and the issue of rent money owed to her, are civil matters.

13:20: Found Dog: Police received a report of a dog that had been found on Poor Farm road. The Animal Control Officer was notified.

13:40: Dog Complaint: Police received a report that there was a dog barking on Binney Hill Road. The Animal Control Officer was notified.

19:29: Panic Alarm: Police responded to a panic alarm at the New Ipswich Market, which had been set off by an employee who was cleaning the store.


Tuesday 01/01/02 -

08:34: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that a mailbox on Thayer Road had been damaged. There are no suspects.

10:33: Domestic Dispute: Police responded to a domestic dispute at a New Ipswich residence. Police stood by as one of the parties removed his belongings.

11:56: Lost Dog: A resident of north Road reported that they had lost their dog the previous day. The Animal Control Officer was notified.

13:59: Alarm: Police responded to Appleton School for an alarm, which was set off by staff working in the gym.


Wednesday 01/02/02-

08:43: Criminal Mischief: A New Ipswich resident reported that he thought some tombs in the cemetery on Main Street had been vandalized. Police checked the area and were unable to find any sign of damage.

17:45: Alarm: Police responded to several residential alarms due to a power surge in the town.


Thursday 01/03/02-

11:35: A resident of Main Street reported that his mailbox had been vandalized. There are no suspects.


Friday 01/04/02-

11:25: Open Door: A New Ipswich resident returned from vacation and found his front door open. No items were taken and nothing was damaged.

11:50: 911 Hangup: Police investigated a 911 hangup call at the Central School. No problems were observed and the staff reported that they had no knowledge of the call.

12:20: Lost Dogs: A resident of Timbertop Road reported that her two Labs had run away. They returned an hour later.

18:00: Domestic Dispute: Police responded to a domestic dispute. The parties were engaged in a verbal, not a physical, altercation and were given information about counseling and mediation.


Saturday 01/05/02-

13:46: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Greenville Police with an unwanted subject in Greenville.

14:23: People on Ice: Police received a report that there were people skating on a pond that was not entirely frozen. Police checked the area and determined that the area the people were on was sufficiently frozen to be safe.

15:55: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Greenville Police with the same unwanted subject in Greenville that they had dealt with two hours previously.

16:38: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Mason Police with a business alarm in Mason.
