Sunday 1/6/02-



Monday 1/7/02-

15:45: School Bus Passing: The school bus company reported that a black minivan had passed the bus at Boynton Middle School on Friday while the lights were flashing. The driver of the vehicle was given a warning.

17:03: MV Off Road: Police received a report that a vehicle had gone off the road. The vehicle was pulled back onto the road by the towing company.

17:05: MV Off Road: Police received a report that a vehicle had gone off the road and over the embankment. The vehicle was pulled back onto the road by the towing company.

17:48: MV Off Road: Police received a report that a motor vehicle was off the road. It was pushed back onto the road and no damage was incurred.

18:36: MV Accident: Police responded to an accident on Highbridge Road. Chad LaFleur lost control of the vehicle due to road conditions and slid off the road. There were no injuries, but the vehicle had to be towed from the scene.

18:49: Dog struck by car: A resident of Temple Road reported that her dog had been struck by a tow truck which did not stop. The animal was taken to the Manchester Veterinary Hospital for treatment.

21:05: Bad Check: The New Ipswich Market reported that they had received another bad check. The police will be contacting the person involved.

21:28: MV Off Road: Police received a report that a vehicle was stuck in the snow. The tow truck was not needed and no damage was incurred.


Tuesday 1/8/02-

02:34: Business Alarm: Police responded to Wee Dreams on Turnpike Road. Police met with the owner and determined that student artwork near the heater was moving, which had set off the alarm.


Wednesday 1/9/02-

09:30: Assist Fire Department: Police were informed that a carbon dioxide alarm was going off at a house in New Ipswich. The Fire Department responded to investigate.

10:45: Dog Complaint: A New Ipswich resident reported that there is a pack of 5 dogs running loose on Ashby Road, which are always in the road. The Animal Control Officer was notified.

10:45: Loose Oxen: Police received a complaint that three oxen were running loose on Goen Road. Police informed the owner and the animals were located and returned home.


Thursday 1/10/02-

09:15: Animal Complaint: Police received a report that there was an injured fox near the road on Town Hill. They were unable to locate the animal and subsequently cleared the area.

09:30: Theft: A New Ipswich resident reported that someone had entered her home while she was at work, let her dogs out, and had then taken $20 off her table. Nothing else was taken and the house was unlocked. Polcie advised the woman to start locking her door when she was not at home.

11:35: Ambulance Assist: Police assisted SVAS at a residence on Laurel Street.

13:15: Ambulance Assist: Police received a call from a resident of Timbertop Road who reported that she had been in an accident and required an ambulance. Police determined that the accident occurred in Rindge and informed the Rindge Police of the incident. The woman was transported to Monadnock Community Hospital for evaluation.


Friday 1/11/02-

19:44: MV Accident: Police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident on Ashby Road. James LaJoy lost control of his Nissan pickup and slid off the road. There were no injuries and only minor damage to the vehicle.

22:30: OHRV Complaint: The police responded to our Lady of Hope on Temple Road for an OHRV complaint. They spoke to the drivers and informed them that they were trespassing on private property.


Saturday 1/12/02-

00:35: MV Accident: Police responded to River Road for a motor vehicle accident. Mark LaFreniere had lost control of his vehicle and hit a telephone pole, which caused the vehicle to flip end over end.

20:00: MV Accident: Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Willard Road. Shane Hickey lost control of his car and rolled it over. The vehicle sustained extensive damage and was towed by Tuttle's.

20:00: Found property: The Fire Department turned in a license plate from a vehicle belonging to a Rindge resident. The owner was contacted.
