Police Log Week Ending 1/26/2002
1/20/02 to 1/26/02-
Sunday 1/20/02-
08:34: Criminal Threatening: Police received a report
from the Conant Athletic Director that a threat had been
made towards Conant students. The matter was handed
over to the Rindge Police, as the incident ocurred in that
town, and they are conducting an investigation.
10:45: Report of Animal Neglect: Police received a report
of possible neglect at a kennel in New Ipswich. The Animal
Control Officer investigated and found the kennel to be in
excellent condition and the animals to be well cared for
and well fed.
12:17: MV Off the Road: Police responded to Ashby Road
and found a vehicle which slid off the road. There were no
injuries to the driver and only minor damage to the vehicle.
15:55: Fire: Police assisted the Fire Department at a
chicken coop fire on Davis Village Road. Three of the
chickens were killed in the blaze and the rest were put
into the owner's garage, as he was not at home.
19:00: Open Window: While on routine patrol, police
observed several open windows at Mascenic High School.
The windows were secured and the facility manager was notified.
20:24: Medical Alarm: Police responded to a Life Line
alarm at a New Ipswich residence. It was determined that
the resident's cat had accidentally set off the alarm.
Monday 1/21/02-
09:45 Motorist Assist: Police received a report that a
vehicle had broken down on Turnpike Road. The vehicle
left the scene before police arrived.
10:20: MV Off the Road: Police responded to a motor
vehicle off the road on Tricnit Road. There was no sign of
the operator and the car did not pose a safety hazard, so
police cleared the scene.
12:20: School Alarm: Police responded to Appleton
School for an alarm. The alarm was caused by the janitor
and police cleared the scene without incident.
14:39: Arrest: Police arrested Tracy Borelli, 22, of
Greenville, on an electronic bench warrant. She was
transferred to the Valley Street Jail by the Hillsborough
County Sheriff's Department.
16:25: Arrest: Police arrested Sharron Mahoney, 32,
of New Ipswich, on an electronic bench warrant. She was
bailed and released.
17:28: Neighbor Dispute: Police responded to a
residence on Ashburnham Road for a neighbor dispute.
The parties were advised to not have contact with each other.
18:04: Ambulance Assist: Police assisted SVAS with a
call at an Appleton Road residence.
19:18: MV Complaint: Police received a report of a
possible drunk driver on Stowell Road. Police checked
the area with negative results.
21:33: MV Off the Road: Police responded to a motor
vehicle off the road on Ashby Road. There were no injuries
and only minor damage to the vehicle.
21:56: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Mason Police
with an arrest in Greenville.
Tuesday 1/22/02-
15:00: Found Property: A New Ipswich resident brought
a purse into the Police Station and stated that it had been
found at the intersection of Turnpike Road and Main Street.
Police contacted the owner and she claimed her property.
18:20: Lost Property: Police received a report that a
chainsaw had fallen out of a truck between 10 and 11 in the
morning on Turnpike Road between the New Ipswich Market
and Highbridge Road. Anyone with information on the location
of the chainsaw should call the New Ipswich Police.
23:10: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Mason Police with
an unwanted subject in Mason.
Wednesday 1/23/02-
Loose Dog: Police received a report of a dog running loose
and getting into neighbor's trash. The Animal Control Officer
spoke to the dog's owner about the leash law.
15:08: Mutual Aid: Police responded to Temple to assist
with an accident involving an SUV and a deer.
19:45: Civil Standby: Police responded to a New Ipswich
residence to ensure that a woman who was dropping off her
children for a visit was not harassed by her ex-husband.
Thursday 1/24/02-
Loose Dog: Police received a report of a dog running
loose. The Animal Control Officer was notified.
09:50: Disabled Vehicle: Police assisted with a disabled
vehicle on Route 45.
21:37: Motorist Assist: Police assisted a motorist on
Ashby Road.
Friday 1/25/02-
09:02: Criminal Mischief: A resident of Old Country
Road reported that her mailbox had been vandalized.
10:50: Loose Dogs: Police received a report of dogs
running loose on Mountainview Drive. The Animal Control
Officer was notified.
21:44: Juvenile Complaint: Police received a report that
children were throwing ice at cars on North Road. They
checked the area several times with negative results.
23:38: Objects in Roadway: Police removed a tire and
a traffic cone that had been placed in the middle of the
road on Route 124.
Saturday 1/26/02-
12:02: Theft/Forgery: A New Ipswich resident reported
that someone had stolen one of her checks and forged it.
The incident is under investigation.
12:17: 911 Hangup: Police responded to a residence
on Old Wilton Road for a 911 Hangup The resident stated
that it was accidental.
12:49: School Alarm: Police responded to Mascenic
High School for an alarm. No one was observed on the
property and all doors and windows were secure.
