Police Log Week Ending 3/30/2002
3/24/02 to 3/30/02-
Sunday 3/24/02-
1501: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Greenville Police with a
with a theft investigation.
1533: OHRV Complaint: Police stopped Adam Hamel, 24, of
New Ipswich on Willard Road and cited him for Operating an OHRV on
a Way.
1833: Residential Alarm: Police responded to a residence on
Temple Road for an alarm. The house was secure and the keyholder
was notified.
1900: Motorist Assist: Police assisted a motorist on Turnpike
Road who had locked his keys in the car.
1935: 911 Hang Up Police responded to the pay phone
outside of the New Ipswich Market for a 911 hang up. On arrival,
they observed that the phone was not in service. The market was
informed of the issue.
2011: 911 Hang Up Police responded to a New Ipswich
residence for a 911 hang up. On arrival, they determined that there
was a domestic dispute in progress. One person was arrested for
Simple Assault.
2018: Assist Fire Department: Police received a report that
there was a trash can fire at the ball field on Temple Road. The fire
was extinguished by the New Ipswich Fire Department.
2350: Unsecure Building: While on patrol, police observed
that there was a window open at Mascenic High School. The building
was checked and found to be all clear. The Maintenance Supervisor
was notified and he responded to secure the building.
Monday 3/25/02-
1050: Criminal Mischief: The owner of Windblown Ski Area
reported that an unknown person had smashed three mailboxes,
stolen two spotlight bulbs and broken one of the light housings.
1440: Criminal Mischief: A New Ipswich resident reported
several incidents of criminal mischief, including having eggs thrown
at his house and finding his mailbox covered with condiments. He
asked that police patrol the area more frequently in the evenings.
1534: Theft: A New Ipswich resident reported that someone
had stolen the key for a box containing personal papers. She
subsequently discovered that several items were missing. The
resident has since moved out of that residence and does not
expect the incidents to continue.
1657: Missing Child: A resident of New Ipswich reported
that his 14 year old daughter had been missing for several hours.
Police investigation resulted in finding the girl in Milford. The
father picked his daughter up and was informed that he could
contact police if he needed any further assistance.
1823: Domestic Dispute: Police responded to a New
Ipswich residence for a domestic dispute. They subsequently
arrested one person for Simple Assault.
2130: Civil Standby: Police stood by at a New Ipswich
residence while a man retrieved his belongings.
Tuesday 3/26/02-
1032: Medical Assist: Police responded to Boynton Middle
School to assist SVAS with a medical call.
1252: MV Accident: Margaret Wetherbee of Greenville
lost control of her vehicle on Turnpike Road and it rolled over onto
its roof. She was extricated from the vehicle and transported to
Monadnock Hospital for evaluation. She was treated for minor
injuries and released.
1344: MV Accident: Stephanie Jackson, 23, of New
Ipswich lost control of her vehicle and struck a rock wall. She was
uninjured and there was only minor damage to the vehicle.
Wednesday 3/27/02-
Thursday 3/28/02-
1825: Found Property: A resident of Greenbriar Road
found a mountain bike on her property. The bicycle was turned
into the Police Department for safekeeping.
2148: Possible Fire: Police received a report of a possible
fire at the entrance to the Boynton School. On arrival it was
determined that someone had been shooting off fireworks. There
were over twenty cars parked in the lot near the school and they
were warned by the owner that he would shut the lot down if another
complaint was received.
Friday 3/29/02-
1244: Ambulance Assist: Police assisted a resident with
CPR on an unresponsive male subject until SVAS arrived. He was
transported to Mondadnock Hospital for treatment.
1815: Harassment: A resident of Main Street reported that
she was receiving harassing phone calls from a neighbor's
daughter. Police spoke to the parents of the girl and they agreed
to deal with the matter.
1910: Found Dog: A resident of Temple Road found a dog
belonging to a resident of Green Farm Road on her property. She
asked police for directions to the owner's home so that she could
return the dog.
Saturday 3/30/02-
1334: Suspicious Circumstances: A needle was found on
Route 124 near Mascenic. The needle was disposed of by police.
2156: Suspicious Person: A New Ipswich resident reported that
he saw two male subjects running from the building which houses his
business. The police investigated and determined that the two subjects
had not entered the building and had legitimate business in the area.
