Sunday 03/31/02-
0828: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Ashby Police
Department with an investigation.
0919: Police Information: Police received a call from
Monadnock Hospital about a possible assault that may have
occurred in New Ipswich. Police responded and spoke to the
patient, a juvenile, who stated that he had been had not been
assaulted. He informed police that he had been partying and
had fallen on his face onto some glass. The juvenile's parents
were informed of the incident.
1046: MV Complaint: Police received a report of vehicles
speeding on Goen Road. The area was checked with negative
results.
1705: Shots Fired: Police received a report of shots fired
on Turnpike Road. The resident was shooting in a safe area and
in a safe manner and police cleared the scene.
1750: Open Door: A resident of Middle Pratt Pond Road
reported that his neighbor's door was open but no one lives
there during the winter. Police checked the area and determined
that it was a breezeway door and did not provide entry into the
house.
2015: Ordinance Violation: Police received a report that a
large truck was in violation of the weight limit on Stowell Road.
The area was checked with negative results.
Monday 04/01/02-
1530: Criminal Mischief: The New Ipswich Fire Department
reported that an unknown person had shot out one of their
garage windows with a BB Gun.
1552: Assist Fire Department: Police assisted the New
Ipswich Fire Department with traffic control at a structure
fire on Locke Road.
1609: Residential Alarm: Police responded to a residence
on Old Country Road to investigate a burglar alarm. The
alarm was set off accidentally and police cleared the scene.
1929: MV Off the Road: Police received a report of a possible
motor vehicle accident on Route 124. The area was checked
with negative results.
Tuesday 4/2/02-
1215: Civil Standby: Police responded to a New Ipswich
residence and stood by while a subject picked up some of
his belongings.
1600: MV Accident: A New Ipswich resident reported that
an unknown person had struck his vehicle while it was parked
at the Town Office. The accident occurred hours before he
notified the police and they were unable to fill out a report
for him. He was given the proper State form.
1626: Loose Horses: Police responded to Binney Hill
Road and assisted the Animal Control Officer in rounding
up two loose horses.
1821: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Mason Police
with a motor vehicle stop in Mason.
Wednesday 4/3/02-
0920: Dog Complaint: Police received a report that a
German Shepherd and a Pit Bull-type dog have been coming
to the school bus stop at the Vaillancourt Trailer Park and
jumping on the children. The dogs belong to someone on
Greenbriar Road. The Animal Control Officer was notified.
0950: Criminal Mischief: Police observed that a portable
toilet had been knocked over on Currier Road. The owner
was notified.
1115: Suspicious Circumstances: A resident turned in
a hypodermic needle that his grandson had found on
Turnpike Road. The needle was disposed of and the resident
was advised that if he found any other needles he should
call the police and not touch the needle, due to safety
concerns.
1300: Bad Check: Police received a report of two bad
checks from Hoppy's Market. The incidents are under
investigation.
1443: Arrest: Police observed Brandon May, 18, of
New Ipswich driving recklessly on Temple Road by the
playground, at a speed of 60 mph in a 20 mph zone. Police
pulled him over and subsequently arrested him for Reckless
Operation and also for Transportation and Possession of a
Drug.
1657: Found Property: An employee of the Highway
Department turned in a wallet he had found on River
Road. The owner was contacted and she picked the item
up at the police station.
2313: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Mason Police
with a motor vehicle stop on Churchill Road in Mason.
Thursday 4/4/02-
0838: Citizen Assist: Police received a report that an
incident of domestic violence had occurred in Greenville.
The woman is a resident of New Ipswich and she wanted
police to know what had occurred. The Greenville Police are
handling the matter.
0903: 911 Hang Up: Police responded to a residence
on Tote Drive for a 911 Hang Up call. The resident stated that
her one year old child had been playing with the phone.
0912: Identity Theft: Police received a report that
someone in Pennsylvania had taken a New Ipswich
resident's personal information and used it to apply for
credit cards. The woman stated that her husband would be
in that afternoon to file a report.
2247: Check the Welfare: Police received a call
from a doctor who stated that his patient's mother was
concerned that her son may have overdosed on medication.
Police responded to the residence and determined that all
appeared to be well.
Friday 4/5/02-
1658: MV Accident: Police responded to a minor
accident on Turnpike Road near Upper School Street.
Rennee Kuusisto, 16, of New Ipswich backed her Ford
F150 into a Plymouth Voyager owned by Jeffrey Swenor,
37, of New Ipswich. There was no personal injury and
only minor damage to the vehicles.
1800: Possible Animal Cruelty: A resident of Mill
Street reported that her dog had been poisoned. The
Animal Control Officer is investigating.
1915: Missing Person: A New Ipswich resident
reported that her boyfriend had left work at 3:00 AM
and had still not returned home. Police determined
that he had not been in an accident or arrested. The
man returned home at 9:05 PM that night.
2125: 911 Hang Up: Police responded to a
residence on Perry Road for a 911 Hang Up call.
They determined that it was accidental.
Saturday 4/6/02-
1130: Criminal Mischief: A resident of Thayer
Road reported that his mailbox had been pulled
out of the ground during the night. There were no
suspects.
1404: MV Complaint: Police received a report
that a vehicle was speeding on River Road. Police
were unable to track down the owner.
1612: Criminal Mischief: Police received a
report that a beaver dam on Ashby Road had been
damaged by unknown persons.
1750: Residential Alarm: Police responded to
a residence on Turnpike Road for a burglar alarm.
The owner stated that it was accidental.
1758: Possible Fire: Police observed smoke at
a residence on Turnpike Road and determined that
it was a bonfire and the resident had a permit.
