04/21/02 to 04/27/02-


Sunday 04/21/02-

1035: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Greenville Police Department with an arrest in Greenville.

1306: Loose Horses: Police responded to Binney Hill Road for a report of loose horses. The Animal Control Officer was notified.

1354: OHRV Complaint: Police responded to a Turnpike Road residence to deal with an ongoing OHRV problem. The resident was informed of his options.

1519: Medical Assist: Police responded to a residence on Ashby Road to assist SVAS with a medical call.

1703: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Greenville Police Department at a residence on Main Street in Greenville.

1855: OHRV Complaint: Police responded to Stowell Road to deal with an OHRV Complaint. One driver was located on Cedar Ridge Drive and was informed of the laws.

Monday 04/22/02-

0925: JV Issue: A woman called to report that her 17 year old son had not returned home. Police were asked to check several areas to try and locate him. She stated that she was not yet ready to file a missing persons report.

1818: JV Issue: Police were notified that the missing 17 year old had returned home.


Tuesday 04/23/02-

0857: Lost Property: A Philmart Drive resident reported that she had lost one of her license plates at an unknown location.

1022: MV Accident: Police responded to the intersection of Ashby Road and Whittemore Hill Road for a motor vehicle rollover. Lily Dicker, 76, of New Ipswich lost control of her 1994 Toyota Corolla while attempting to make a turn. The rear wheel and brake drum came off the car during the accident and the vehicle rolled over. The New Ipswich Fire Department responded to extricate Ms. Dicker from the vehicle. She was transported to Monadnock Community Hospital for evaluation. Due to the fact that she was wearing a safety belt, she sustained only minor injuries. The vehicle was totalled and was towed from the scene.

1655: JV Complaint: Police responded to a residence where a woman reported that she was assaulted by her 13 year old daughter. The girl was taken into custody and released to a relative.

1820: JV Complaint: Police responded to the cemetery on Greenville Road to investigate a report of kids screaming and yelling. The area was checked with negative contact.

2120: MV Stop: Police stopped Adam Chalke, 22, of New Ipswich on Turnpike Road and gave him a written warning for Defective Equipment: Loud Exhaust.

2135: MV Stop: Police stopped Heather Holombo, 17, of New Ipswich on Turnpike Road and gave her a written warning for Speeding.

2207: MV Stop: Police stopped Russell Salo, 32, of New Ipswich on Sharon Road and gave him a written warning for Speeding.


Wednesday 04/24/02-

1023: Suspicious MV: Police received a report of two men in a station wagon knocking on doors along Poor Farm Road. Police investigated and determined that the men worked for a tree service and were notifying residents that they would be cutting trees in the area.

1840: Burglary: Police responded to a residence on Turnpike Road for a burglary report. There were no signs of forced entry, but several items were taken. Police were assisted by the Greenville and Mason Police.

1934: Found Property: A Greenville resident found a bicycle on Temple Road and turned it in to the Police.

1942: Burglary: Police responded to a residence on Turnpike Road for a burglary report. There were no signs of forced entry, but several items were taken. Police are investigating the incident.


Thursday 04/25/02-

0120: School Alarm: Police responded to Mascenic High School to investigate a burglar alarm. On arrival they observed two subjects who exited the cafeteria and fled into the woods on bicycles. One bicycle was recovered at the scene. Police were assisted by the Mason and Greenville Police. Nothing was taken and there were no signs of forced entry,

1108: Dog Complaint: Police received a report of an ongoing problem with dogs at a residence on Turnpike Road. The dogs are left alone for several days at a time and bark incessantly. The Animal Control Officer is investigating.


Friday 04/26/02-

0034: Dog Complaint: Police responded to Oak Hill Road for a report of dogs barking. They checked the area with negative results. The matter was turned over to the Animal Control Officer.

1150: OHRV Complaint: Police received a report of OHRVs operating on Stowell Road. Police spoke to the mother of the juvenile who was driving.

1555: OHRV Complaint: Police received a report of OHRVs operating on Binney Hill Road. Police checked the area with negative results.

1641: Lost Dog: A New Ipswich resident called to report two lost dogs. The individual was informed that the Animal Control Officer had them at the town kennel.

1650: Residential Alarm: Police responded to a residence on Ashby Road for a burglar alarm. The building was found to be secure.

2219: Arrest: In response to an alert put out by the Greenville Police, Steven Aho, 41, of Greenville was pulled over by the New Ipswich Police. He was subsequently arrested and charged with Criminal Threatening, Criminal Mischief, Disobeying a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, and Reckless Operation. He is currently being held at Valley Street Jail in Manchester. Police were assisted by the Mason, Greenville and Temple Police.


Saturday 04/27/02-

1643: Neighbor Dispute: A New Ipswich resident reported having a dispute with two men over some horses. The owner of the horses and the Animal Control Officer were notified of the incident.

1709: MV Complaint: A New Ipswich resident made a complaint about a vehicle that passed by his residence, which is on a private road. Police are looking into the matter.

1754: Assist Fire Department: Police responded to Page Hill Road for a car fire. A 1979 Triumph caught on fire due to electrical problems. There was no damage to the residence.

1810: Harassing Phone Calls: Police received a report that a Wilton resident has been calling a New Ipswich woman and harassing her. The man was advised to have no further contact with her, and police are investigating.

1943: OHRV Accident: Police responded to Finn Hill Drive for a report of an OHRV accident. Ken Lehtonen, 17, of New Ipswich was operating his four-wheeler in his backyard when he fell off it. His left leg was broken and he was transported to Monadnock Community Hospital.

2029: MV Stop: Police stopped Jason Dysart, 24, of New Ipswich on Main Street and gave him a written warning for a Stop Sign Violation.

2126: 911 Hang Up: Police responded to a residence on Wyman Road for a 911 Hang Up. The resident stated that her two young children had been playing with the phone.

2140: MV Stop: Police stopped Calvin Goddard, 19, of Fitzwilliam on Thayer Road and gave him a written warning for Defective Equipment: Loud Exhaust.

2219: Arrest: As the result of a motor vehicle stop, Nyssa Archambault, 16, of Mason was arrested and charged with Transportation of Alcohol (by a minor). Silas Foster, 18, of New Ipswich, Edwin Luhtala, 21 of Rindge, Ronald Moody, 19 of New Ipswich, and a juvenile female from New Ipswichwere also taken into Protective Custody.

2241: MV Accident: Roland Desrosier of New Ipswich reported that he hit a deer with his vehicle on Turnpike Road at Currier Road, killing the deer and causing damage to the vehicle.
