04/28/02 to 05/04/02-


Sunday 04/28/02-

0010: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that some unknown subjects had placed tree limbs and large quantities of nails in the travel lane on Turnpike Road. This is not the first occurrence and police are looking for any information about the crime.

0045: MV Stop: Police stopped John Bartlett, 38, of Peterborough and gave him a written warning for Speeding.

0115: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that some unknown subjects had placed tree limbs and large quantities of nails in the travel lane at a different section of Turnpike Road. One vehicle was damaged.

0116: Arrest: As the result of a motor vehicle stop Philip Matheson, 27, of Marston Mills, MA was arrested for DWI.

0245: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Greenville Police with a motor vehicle accident with a reported assault on Pleasant Street in Greenville.

1850: 911 Hang Up: Police responded to a residence on North Road for a 911 Hang Up. The resident stated that her child was playing with the phone.

Monday 04/29/02-

1105: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that an unknown subject had slashed the tires of a tractor on Turnpike Road. The owner did not see any suspicious subjects in the area.

1120: Animal vs. MV: Police received a report that a goose had been struck and killed by a car on River Road. The owner and the Animal Control Officer were notified.


Tuesday 04/30/02-

0945: JV Problem: Mascenic High School reported that one of their students had walked out the door of the school in an unknown direction. Police looked for the student, but were unable to find him. The parents of the boy were notified.

1000: Mutual Aid: The Greenfield Police requested assistance with tracking down a subject wanted on an arrest warrant. The subject was located and he turned himself into the Greenfield Police without incident.

1545: Bad Check: Police tracked down an individual who wrote a bad check at a local business. He was notified that if he did not make arrangements for restitution, a warrant would be issued for his arrest.

1648: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Greenville Police with a transport on Route 31 in Greenville.

1749: MV Stop: Police stopped Shari Aho, 43, of New Ipswich on Route 124 and gave her a written warning for speeding.

1809: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a New Ipswich resident with a VIN Verification at his residence on Ashlawn Farm Road.

1826: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a New Ipswich resident with a VIN Verification at a residence on Turnpike Road.

2230: MV Stop: Police stopped Dennis Labednick, 20, of Jaffrey and gave him a written warning for speeding.


Wednesday 05/01/02-

0730: MV Complaint: A New Ipswich resident reported that he saw a school bus go through a stop sign without stopping. Police are looking into the matter with the assistance of the bus company.

1220: Lost Property: A New Ipswich resident reported that she lost her wallet on Old Country Road on 4/30/02. She went back to look for it, but the Highway Department had just graded the road and she was unable to find it.

1800: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Greenville Police with a disturbance at the American Legion.

1815: Follow Up: Police responded to a residence on Turnpike Road to retrieve several items pertaining to a recent burglary.

1837: Mutual Aid: Greenville Police requested assistance with a domestic disturbance at the Frost Trailer Park.


Thursday 05/02/02-

1100: Notification: Police were asked to go to a residence on Binney Hill Road and inform the resident that she needed to comply with a summons and appear in Nashua Superior Court. She complied with the request.

1458: Citizen Assist: A woman called and requested clarification on a speeding ticket that her son received for driving 56 mph in a 30 mph zone.

1557: Investigation: Police received a report from a School Resource Officer in South Dakota that one of their middle school students had met someone in an online chat room and was talking about running away with them. The SRO was concerned that the person might be an Internet predator. Police determined that there was a real person at that address, and that he had communicated with the girl, but he had no knowledge of any plans to run away. The boy's parents were informed of the matter.


Friday 05/03/02-

1343: Tree Down: Police were informed of a tree on some wires on Whittemore Hill Road. The Highway Department was asked to remove it.

1400: Tree Down: Police were informed that a branch was stuck to a truck driving down Nashua Road in Sharon and the driver seemed unaware of the hazard. The message was passed on to the State Police.

1725: MV Stop: Police stopped Ethan Somero, 36, of New Ipswich and gave hiim a written warning for speeding.

2044: MV Stop: Police stopped Andrea Iodice, 17, of Mason and gave her a written warning for Defective Equipment for having a headlight out.
