05/05/02 to 05/11/02-


Sunday 05/05/02-

1032: Suspicious MV: An Ashby Road resident reported a suspicious vehicle at the bottom of his driveway. The vehicle was gone on arrival.

1606: MV Accident: Police responded to an accident on Route 124 involving a motorcycle driven by Joseph Manning, 53, of Hudson, NH and a car driven by Walter Deeter, 54, of Bridgewater, MA. The driver of the motorcycle and his passenger, Jennie Manning, were transported to MCH for minor injuries. The motorcycle was towed from the scene. The other vehicle was driven from the scene.

Monday 05/06/02-

0930: Citizen Assist: Police assisted Boynton Middle School in tracking down information on a student. No criminal activity was suspected.

2215: Assist Ambulance: Police assisted SVAS with an ambulance call at a residence on Willard Farm Road.


Tuesday 05/07/02-

0840: MV Stop: Police stopped Daniel L. Watt, 62, of Cambridge, MA and gave him a written warning for speeding.

1115: JV Problem: Mascenic High School called to report that a 15 year old student had walked out of the building. The girl returned to school and met with the police, her parents, and a counselor to resolve the issue.

1127: OHRV Complaint: A New Ipswich resident reported ongoing problems with OHRVs on his property. He was given a list of NH OHRV laws and advised to call the police the next time there are OHRVs on his property.

1730: MV Lock Out: Police assisted with a motor vehicle lock out at Mascenic High School.

2058: MV Off the Road: While attempting to yield to an emergency vehicle Andrew Kakos of Mason hit the soft shoulder and landed in a ditch on Route 124 by Mascenic High School. The vehicle did not sustain any damage and was towed out of the ditch and driven from the scene.

2107: Ambulance Assist: Police assisted SVAS with an ambulance call at a residence on Thayer Road.




Wednesday 05/08/02-

0020: Animal vs. MV: Police received a report that a dog had been struck by a car on Route 124. The Animal Control Officer responded and removed the animal from the scene. The owner was tracked down and notified.

1702: Domestic Dispute: Police received a report that there was a domestic dispute at Perry Road. On arrival they determined that it was an argument that had been resolved.

1918: Follow Up: Police received a report that a Mascenic student had run away. The girl lives in Mason and the matter was referred to the Mason Police.


Thursday 5/9/02-

1215: Ambulance Assist: Police assisted SVAS with an ambulance call on Fox Farm Road.

1425: MV Stop: Police stopped Nicholas Vaillancourt, 17, of New Ipswich on Temple Road and issued a MV Complaint for Speed: 56 in a 35 mph zone.

1530: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a New Ipswich resident with a VIN verification for a car he needed to register.

2305: MV Stop: Police stopped Michael Panagiotes, 29, of New Ipswich and issued a written warning for Speeding on Route 124.


Friday 5/10/02-

0816: Shoplifting: Police received a report that an unidentified Hispanic male had taken a bag of potato chips and left the New Ipswich Market without paying for them. The owner of the store was advised to call the Police if she saw the man again.

1008: Identity Theft: Police received a report that there was an unauthorized inquiry on a New Ipswich resident's credit account. Police are looking into the matter.

1140: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Jaffrey and Rindge Police in attempting to stop an unidentified man on a dirt bike in the area of Hubbard Pond Road.

1314: Missing JV: Police received a report that a student had left Mascenic High School without permission. The student's parents were notified and they informed Police that their child returned home approximately two hours later.

1430: Assist Fire Department: Police assisted the New Ipswich Fire Department at a brush fire on Timbertop Road. The fire was caused by an approved burn the day before.

1500: Lost Property: A Greenville resident positively identified a bicycle used in a recent burglary as one that had been stolen from her home several weeks before. Police are investigating the matter.

1755: MV Stop: Police stopped Richard Paradise, 41, of New Ipswich and issued a written warning for Speeding on Turnpike Road.

2235: MV Stop: Police stopped David Brown, 53, of Sharon and issued a written warning for Speeding on Turnpike Road.


Saturday 5/11/02-

0819: MV Complaint: Police received a complaint that a New Ipswich resident was unable to get out of his driveway due to the fact that his neighbor was having a yard sale and the cars were blocking the entrance.

1031: Missing JV: The Jaffrey Police Department asked the New Ipswich Police to be on the lookout for a juvenile missing from their town.

1144: Lost Property: Police received a report that a woman's license plate had been lost or stolen from an unknown location.

1713: Theft: Police received a report that a white cross had been stolen from the cemetary on Main Street.
