08/04/02 to 08/10/02-


Sunday 08/04/02-

0010: Noise Complaint: Police were notified of a loud party on Greenville Road. The party was dispersed without incident.

0055: Citizen Assist: Police transported an intoxicated woman to her residence in Greenville.

1007: Criminal Mischief: Police responded to a report of Criminal Mischief on Green Farm Road. An unknown person pulled shrubs out of a garden and threw them on the road.

1033: Disabled MV: Police responded to Route 124 for a report of a disabled motor vehicle. They found a woman and two small children, gave them a ride home and arranged for AAA to tow the vehicle.

1112: Criminal Mischief: Police responded to Fox Farm Road to investigate a report of a mailbox that had been partially burned by an unknown person.

1140: Criminal Mischief: Police were informed that seven mailboxes had been destroyed by an unknown person the night before on Timbertop Road.

1610: Domestic Disturbance: Police responded to a New Ipswich residence for a domestic disturbance. They determined that it was an argument and cleared the scene after ensuring that the parties had calmed down.

Monday 08/05/02-

1349: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a Greenville resident with a fingerprint card for school employment.

1358: Mutual Aid: At the request of the County Attorney, Police fingerprinted and photographed Roland K. Desrosier, 20, of New Ipswich as part of the conditions of his arraignment on charges of Burglary and Criminal Mischief. Desrosier is the suspect in the alleged deliberate oil spill that occurred on June 17, 2002 in New Ipswich. He was indicted by the Grand Jury and arraigned in Nashua Superior Court. Due to the severity of the charges, the case was turned over to the Hillsborough County Attorney after the initial investigation was completed. The charges against Desrosier include felony counts of Burglary and Criminal Mischief. In addition to the oil spill, Desrosier also allegedly caused damage to two vehicles belonging to a resident of the apartment building at 16 Mill Street, where the spill originated.

1428 Citizen Assist: Police assisted a New Ipswich resident with a fingerprint card for school employment.

1816: MV Accident: Jason Reissfelder, 19, of Greenville, lost control of his vehicle on Willard Road and struck a tree. There were no injuries, but the vehicle had to be towed from the scene.

1852: Found Property: The New Ipswich Market found a wallet that belonged to a Massachusetts resident. Police notified the owner that he could pick up the wallet at the New Ipswich Police station.

2153: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the State Police at a possible burglary in Sharon.


Tuesday 08/06/02-

0624: Alarm: Police responded to a Burglar alarm at a residence on Ashby Road. They found the house secure, but the windows were open and the curtains were blowing in the wind, which may have set off the alarm. Police cleared the scene.

1155: Follow Up: Police followed up on an investigation into a credit card theft case.

1230: Assist Ambulance: Police assisted SVAS with a medical call at a residence on Malthouse Road.

1455: Citizen Assist: Police received a complaint about an incident that occurred in Peterborough. They passed the information on to the Peterborough Police.

1500: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Mason Police with the arrest of a New Ipswich resident who had an Electronic Bench Warrant out of Milford District Court.

1750: OHRV Complaint: Police responded to an OHRV complaint on Green Farm Road. The vehicles were gone on arrival.

1800: Criminal Mischief: Police responded to an abandoned house on Stowell Road for a Criminal Mischief call. Unidentified juveniles broke several windows and a door. Police are investigating the incident.

2213: MV Stop: Police stopped Samuel Nieves, 52, of New Ipswich on Highbridge Road and issued a Written Warning for Defective Equipment: Tail Light.


Wednesday 08/07/02-

0830: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a motorist with directions to Millipore in Jaffrey.

0935: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a citizen with a VIN verification for a vehicle has was trying to register.

0954: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a Mason resident with a fingerprint card for school employment.

1130: Lost Dog: Police received a report of a loose dog with no tags on Oak Hollow Lane. The dog was brought to the kennel and later returned to its owners.

1510: JV Complaint: Police received a report that juveniles were fighting at the basketball court. The juveniles were gone before Police arrived.

1630: Criminal Mischief: Police responded to an abandoned house on Stowell Road for a Criminal Mischief call. Unidentified juveniles dumped paint cans onto the floor and threw a television set through a second floor window. Police are investigating the matter.

1950: Suspicious Activity: A New Ipswich resident reported that someone went into her house two days in a row and moved things around, but did not take anything. She was advised to lock her doors.

2100: Noise Complaint: Police received a complaint that there was loud noise at the playground. Police cleared three vehicles from the area and secured the gate for the night.


Thursday 08/08/02-

0844: Illegal Dumping: Police received a report that an unknown individual left construction debris on his property. They were unable to identify the owner of the materials.

0856: Found Property: A cell phone was found in the town Library parking lot. The cell phone was picked up several days later by the owner.

0905: Police Information: Police received information about a possible telephone scam.

0907: Criminal Mischief: A New Ipswich resident reported ongoing criminal mischief to his camping trailer over the past few weeks. Police are looking into the matter.

1939: MV Accident: Police responded to Mason Road for a motor vehicle accident. Christine Lage, 16, of New Ipswich lost control of the vehicle she was driving and struck a guard rail. There were no injuries and the vehicle was driven from the scene.

2200: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Mason Police with a civil matter in Mason.


Friday 08/09/02-

0855: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a New Ipswich resident with a VIN verification for a vehicle she needed to register.

0923: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a New Ipswich resident with a fingerprint card for school employment.

1040: Alarm: Police responded to a Burglar alarm on Old Country Road. The building was secure and Police cleared the scene.

1133: Alarm: Police responded to another Burglar alarm at a residence on Old Country Road. They spoke to a person who was having trouble resetting the alarm. Police cleared the scene after they determined that the person had permission to be there.

1420: Animal vs MV: Police received a report that a dog was struck and killed on Perry Road. The dog ran out in front of the car and the driver was unable to avoid it. The driver stopped and notified the owner.

2230: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that a mailbox on Page Hill Road was hit several times by a car, but the owner of the house was unable to get a description of the car for Police.


Saturday 08/10/02-

2339: Mutual Aid: At the request of the Milford Police, Police took a Milford man into custody at a residence on Gibbs Avenue and transferred him to the Milford Police Department's custody.
