New Ipswich Police Department, but is not a
complete listing of all activity during the week.
08/18/02 to 08/24/02-
Sunday 08/18/02-
0003: Noise Complaint: Police responded to Highbridge Road for a complaint about loud music. They did not find any loud music in the area.
0040: MV Complaint: Police attempted to stop a black Trans Am that was going 95 mph on River Road. The vehicle refused to stop and Police did not pursue due to safety concerns, as the vehicle sped up to over 100 mph. Anyone with information about this vehicle is asked to contact the New Ipswich Police Department.
0125: Trespassing: Police cleared approximately 30 subjects from the parking lot of the Appleton Business Center.
0400: Wires Down: Police responded to River Road for a report of wires down. A tree fell across the road and knocked the wires down. PSNH repaired the wires and the Highway Department removed the tree. Police cleared the scene at 0745.
0920: 911 Hang Up: Police responded to a residence on Kenneybeck Court for a 911 Hang Up call. The resident stated that a child had been playing with the phone. No problems were observed and Police cleared the scene.
Monday 08/19/02-
0930: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a Rindge resident and a New Ipswich resident with obtaining fingerprint cards for school employment.
1044: Alarm: Police responded to a Burglar alarm at a residence on Appleton Road. On arrival they determined that the owner left the windows open, which caused the curtains to blow in the breeze and set off the motion detector.
1223: MV Accident: Police responded to the parking lot of the NeWest Mall for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Dorothy White, 70, of New Ipswich struck a parked car, causing minor damage to both vehicles. There were no injuries.
1301: Assist Fire Department: Police assisted the Fire Department at a brush fire on Emerson Hill. Due to the remote location of the fire, units had difficulty locating the source. It was located by Officer Follomon, who drove to a nearby clearing and was able to pinpoint the location of the fire from there.
2128: MV Complaint: Police responded to the church on Goen Road for a report of a motor vehicle spinning its tires. The vehicle was gone on arrival.
2142: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Greenville Police at a report of shots being fired on Titan Lane. The area was checked with negative results. Police determined that it may have been fireworks.
Tuesday 08/20/02-
1643: Alarm: Police responded to a residence on Ashby Road for a Burglar alarm. The residence was secure and Police cleared the scene.
1848: Possible Fire: Police responded to Ashburnham Road to investigate a report of a possible fire. They determined that it was smoke from a wood stove.
2017: Lost Property: A Greenville resident stated that he lost his wallet at the Bank of New Hampshire ATM. The wallet has not been turned in to Police.

Thursday 08/22/02-
1221: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a Nashua resident with obtaining a fingerprint card for school employment.
1553: Theft: Police received a report of a paycheck that had been stolen and cashed. The victim was advised to contact the Greenville Police, as the theft occurred in that town.
1650: OHRV Complaint: Police received a report that there was a trail bike driving recklessly on Appleton Road. The vehicle was gone on arrival.
Citizen Assist: Police were approached by a woman on Turnpike Road who stated that her friend was ill and might need an ambulance. They were escorted to the ambulance bay and the woman was transported to the hospital by SVAS.
1940: Loose Dog: Police observed a dog running loose near the New Ipswich Market. They notified the Animal Control Officer.
1955: Harassment: Police investigated a a report of harassing phone phone calls. They spoke to the person who made the calls and advised him not to call again.
2147: Harassment: Police investigated another report of harassing phone calls. They later determined that it was a boy who lived in another town, making "prank" phone calls. His parents were advised and they dealt with the situation.
Friday 08/23/02-
Citizen Assist: Police assisted a Mason resident with obtaining a fingerprint card for school employment.
1150: Alarm: Police responded to a residence on Sharon Road for a Burglar alarm. The building was secure and Police cleared the scene.
1230: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a New Ipswich resident with obtaining a fingerprint card for school employment.
1503: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a Temple resident with obtaining a fingerprint card for school employment.
1515: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a New Ipswich resident with obtaining placement for her son at a drug treatment facility.
1748: MV Summons: Police stopped Asa Hatfield, 20, of New Ipswich on Turnpike Road and issued a MV Summons for a Yellow Line violation.
1830: Alarm: Police responded to another Burglar alarm at a residence on Sharon Road. The resident stated that the system was malfunctioning and his alarm company has been notified.
Saturday 08/24/02-
0956: Loose Horse: Police observed a loose horse at the New Ipswich playground. The owner was notified and they retrieved the horse.
1015: Loose Dogs: Police received a report of loose dogs on Settlement Hill Road. They spoke to the owner and reminded her of the town's leash law.
1415: Loose Skunk: Police received a report of a skunk walking along Temple Road. It was gone on arrival.
1615: MV Summons: Police stopped Linda Boisvert, 38, of Keene, NH on Turnpike Road and issued a MV Summons for Speed: 54 mph in a 30 mph zone.
1715: Littering: Police received a report that 11 tires were left at the entrance to "Little AZ" by an unknown subject.
