complete listing of all activity during the week.




09/01/02 to 09/07/02-


Sunday 09/01/02-

1035: Suspicious Activity: Police received a report that a Temple Road resident has been finding .22 caliber shells in his driveway over the past few weeks. Police did not observe any damage in the area.

1140: Abandoned MV: Police received a report that a vehicle had been left on River Road for several days. Police spoke to the owner and he stated that the car had broken down and he would have it towed on Tuesday.

1215: MV Stop: Police stopped Garrett Seppala, 17, of New Ipswich on Timbertop Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

1340: Citizen Assist: Police were asked to contact a New Ipswich resident and ask her to call her mother, as she had not been heard from for quite a while.

1500: MV Stop: Police stopped Konrad Seppala, 18, of Rindge on Turnpike Road and issued a MV Summons for Speed: 72 mph in a 50 mph zone.

1525: Citizen Assist: Police were approached by a juvenile who had scraped his knee. They provided minor first aid and he departed the area.

1535: MV Stop: Police stopped Thomas Kazior, 45, of Sudbury, MA on Turnpike Road and issued a MV Summons for Speed: 57 mph in a 30 mph zone.

1550: MV Stop: Police stopped Jesse Keck, 29, of Memphis, TN on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

1614: Assist Ambulance: Police assisted SVAS with a medical call at a residence on Davis Village Road.

2020: MV Stop: Police stopped Christopher Henault, 17, of New Ipswich on Goen Road and issued a MV Summons for Speed: 47 mph in a 25 mph zone.

2050: MV Stop: Police stopped Jesus Zuniga, 40, of New Ipswich on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

2115: MV Stop: Police stopped Jennifer Lampron, 27, of Newton, NH on Turnpike Road and issued a MV Summons for Speed: 54 mph in a 30 mph zone.

2125: MV Stop: Police stopped Timo Seppala, 19, of Greer, SC on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Defective Equipment: Marker Light.

2140: MV Stop: Police stopped John Kane, 33, of Brighton, MA on Turnpike Road and issued a MV Summons for Speed: 52 mph in a 30 mph zone.

2300: MV Stop: Police stopped Robert Bunnell, 42, of Woonsocket, RI on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Defective Equipment: Exhaust.

2315: Arrest: As the result of a motor vehicle stop, Police arrested Jacob Dickinson, 20, of New Ipswich for DWI and Reckless Operation. He is also being charged with Following Too Close.

2331: Tire Fire: Police were notified of a tire fire at the NeWest Mall parking lot, but were unable to assist the Fire Department as they were tied up with an arrest.

Monday 09/02/02-

1050: MV Stop: Police stopped Jonathan Hakala, 17, of New Ipswich on Ashburnham Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

1550: MV Stop: Police stopped Charles Atkinson, 66, of Cambridge, MA on Turnpike Road and issued a MV Summons for Speed: 65 mph in a 30 mph zone with a court date of October 11, 2002.

1704: Assist Ambulance: Police assisted SVAS with a medical call at a residence on Davis Village Road.

1734: Animal Control: Police responded to Mason Road for a report of a loose cow. They contacted the owner, who took the animal back to its pasture.

1800: Civil Matter: Police spoke to a New Ipswich resident about a custody dispute. They were able to resolve the matter without further incident.

1825: Animal Control: Police observed another loose cow on Mason Road and were able to get it back to its pasture with the help of a neighbor.

1850: Accident: Police responded to Perry Road for a report of a minor accident. A vehicle struck a rock, which caused it to go flying into the windshield of the car behind it. The windshield shattered, but there was no other damage or any injuries.

2054: Assist Ambulance: Police assisted SVAS with a medical call at Friendship Manor.

2138: Suspicious Person: Police received a report of a suspicious woman on Turnpike Road. On arrival they observed that the woman was staggering and walking in the roadway. It was determined that the woman had overdosed on prescription medication and she was transported to the hospital by SVAS for treatment.


Tuesday 09/03/02-

0947: Noise Complaint: Police received a complaint about constant noise from the "Flying Finns" dirt bike track. The complainant was informed that they were on private property and not in violation of the town noise ordinance.

1746: Assist Ambulance: Police assisted SVAS with a medical call at a residence on Kenney Street.

1847: Burglary: Police responded to a residence on Tote Road for a report of a burglary. A screen window was bent open and the glass window was pushed up, but there was no damage and nothing appeared to have been taken.

2205: 911 Hang Up: Police responded to a residence on Lower Pratt Pond Road for a 911 Hang Up call. They determined that the residents had been involved in a verbal confrontation, but no assault took place. Police ensured that the parties calmed down and then cleared the scene.


Wednesday 09/04/02-

1320: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Greenville Police with an arrest in Greenville.


Thursday 09/05/02-

0946: Assist Ambulance: Police assisted SVAS with a medical call at the Friendship Manor.

2305: OHRV Complaint: Police received a complaint about OHRVs running up and down Old Tenney Road.

2357: MV Stop: Police stopped Bruce Lequesne, 52, of Groton, MA on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.


Friday 09/06/02-

1112: Illegal Dumping: Police received a report that someone was observed dumping things off the bridge on River Road. There was no evidence of any dumping when Police arrived.

1320: Assist Ambulance: Police assisted SVAS with a medical call at a business on Turnpike Road.

2010: Assist Fire Department: Police assisted the Fire Department at the site of an illegal burn on Settlement Hill Road.

2020: Dog Complaint: Police received a report of a pack of dogs running loose on Settlement Hill Road, chasing children. The Animal Control Officer was notified and he will be looking into it.

2215: MV Stop: Police stopped Carol Shepherd, 35, of New Ipswich on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.


Saturday 09/07/02-

0813: Assault: Police received a report that a New Ipswich resident had been assaulted by a Mason resident as a result of a road rage incident. Police are investigating the matter.

1038: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that an unknown person had cut a load of laundry on a clothesline with a knife or other sharp instrument.

1039: 911 Hang Up: Police responded to a residence on Perry Road for a 911 hang up call. They determined that it was accidental.

1052: Disabled MV: Police assisted a stranded motorist on Turnpike Road.

1124: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Jaffrey Police with locating a wanted subject.

1217: Citizen Assist: Police were notified about possible deceptive business practices being conducted by a local business. They are looking into the matter.

1245: MV Stop: Police stopped Jodie Wamboldt, 32, of Jaffrey on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

1327: Follow Up: Police followed up on an assault investigation and expect charges to be forthcoming.

1353: Alarm: Police responded to a burglar alarm at Appleton School. The building was secure and Police cleared the scene.

1822: Citizen Assist: Police spoke to another citizen about possible deceptive business practices being conducted by a local business. They are looking into the matter.

2112: Assault: Police were notified of an assault that took place on Binney Hill Road. They are investigating and expect charges to be forthcoming.
