09/15/02 to 09/21/02-


Sunday 09/15/02-

0005: MV Complaint: While Police were dealing with an impaired subject, they observed two vehicles racing down Turnpike Road. They were unable to pursue due to safety concerns.

0230: MV Stop: Police stopped Bryce Salo, 25, of New Ipswich on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

0233: Arrest: As the result of a motor vehicle stop, Police arrested Tyler Seppala, 19, of New Ipswich for Disorderly Conduct, Stopping Prohibited, Town Ordinance Violation and Resisting Arrest.

0937: Follow Up: Police conducted an interview in reference to an ongoing fraud investigation.

1017: OHRV Complaint: Police received a complaint about loud OHRVs operating on Green Farm Road. The matter was referred to NH Fish and Game, as this is an ongoing issue.

1107: Arrest: Kevin Rocheville, 37, of Mason turned himself in on an arrest warrant for Simple Assault and Criminal Threatening. He was given a court date, bailed and released.

1803: Alarm: Police responded to the Community Christian Church for a Burglar Alarm. The building was secure and Police cleared the scene.


Monday 09/16/02-

0900: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a New Ipswich resident with obtaining a fingerprint card for school employment.

1200: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a Nashua resident with obtaining a fingerprint card for school employment.

1245: Missing Child: Police were informed that a middle schol student had been left on the school bus from 0745 until 1030 at a bus driver's home. Police are looking into the matter.

1423: 911 Hang Up: Police responded to a residence on Turnpike Road for a 911 Hang Up call. The resident stated that her son dialed the wrong number.

1734: JV Complaint: Police received a report that juveniles were smoking at the playground. On arrival they saw no signs of smoking in the area.

1800: Suspicious MV: Police received a report of a suspicious motor vehicle on Cedar Ridge. The vehicle was gone on arrival.

1845: OHRV Complaint: Police received a report of loud OHRVs on Green Farm Road. The vehicles were on private property and the town's noise ordinance was not in effect, so Police cleared the scene.

1903: Citizen Assist: Police were asked by a Massachusetts resident to inform her family member that his father had been in a motor vehicle accident.

1910: Shots Fired: Police received a report of shots fired on Whittemore Hill Road. There was no one in the area on arrival.

2153: 911 Hang Up: Police responded to a residence on Turnpike Road for a 911 Hang Up call. The residents denied calling and Police cleared the scene after determining that there were no problems at the house.


Tuesday 09/17/02-

1140: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a Massachusetts resident with obtaining a fingerprint card for school employment.

1200: Follow Up: Police conducted a follow up investigation on a Criminal Mischief case.

1435: Police Information: Police recieved information about an incident involving a New Ipswich resident that ocurred in Massachusetts. They are looking into the matter.

1518: Follow Up: Police conducted a follow up investigation on an Unruly JV case.

1530: Dog Complaint: Police received a report that a dog was barking incessantly on Temple Road. The Animal Control Officer was notified.

1547: MV Complaint: Police received a report that cars and OHRVs were speeding up and down Thayer Road. They were gone on arrival.

1605: MV Complaint: Police recieved a report that a green Mercedes was operating erratically on Route 123. The area was checked with negative contact.

1632: JV Complaint: Police received a report that three juveniles were in the middle of the road at the intersection of Highbridge and Turnpike Roads. They spoke to three girls who were selling candy bars and advised them to stay out of the road.

1825: MV Complaint: Police received a complaint about vehicles speeding on Ashby and River Roads.

2025: Domestic Dispute: Police received a report that a woman's 19 year old son was out of control and she wanted him escorted from the property. Police responded and ensured that the son left without incident.

2137: Assault: Police received a report that a man was assaulted by an acquaintance who was upset about his driving habits. Charges are forthcoming.


Wednesday 09/18/02-

0955: Follow Up: Police conducted a follow up investigation on an incident involving a New Ipswich resident.

1115: OHRV Complaint: Police received a report of a person driving a dirt bike recklessly on Main Street.

1522: Medical Assist: Police assisted SVAS with a medical call at the NeWest Mall.

1530: OHRV Complaint: Police received a complaint that a dirt bike drives at high rates of speed on Page Hill Road all the time. The caller was unable to give a description due to the fact that the vehicle goes so fast they can't get outside in time to see it.


Thursday 09/19/02-

0911: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that "No Trespassing" signs had been torn down on Kolb Road. It is part of an ongoing neighbor dispute and the property owner is attempting to resolve the situation without having to file charges.

1350: MV Accident: Police recieved a report of a motor vehicle accident that occurred the day before, possibly in New Ipswich, or in Townsend, MA. The driver was given a form to fill out and send to the Department of Safety.

1850: Follow Up: Police conducted a follow up investigation on an assault case.

1900: OHRV Complaint: Police received a complaint about an OHRV operating recklessly on Gibbs Avenue, that almost struck some children playing in their yard. Police pursued the vehicle, but lost it when it went onto a trail at Boynton Hill.


Friday 09/20/02-

1030: Possible Theft: The owner of some storage units on Turnpike Road reported that he found a broken lock, but he was unsure if anything had been taken. He was advised to call Police as soon as he had that information.

1230: OHRV Complaint: Police received a report that OHRVs were operating on Ken Street. They were gone on arrival.

1420: Unwanted Subject: Police received a report of an unwanted subject at a residence on Temple Road. The person was dispersed without incident.

2030: MV Complaint: Police observed a motorcycle speeding down Turnpike Road and attempted to stop it. The vehicle sped up to over 100 mph and Police stopped the pursuit due to safety concerns.

2350: OHRV Complaint: Police attempted to stop an OHRV near Boynton Middle School. They followed the vehicle to Thayer Road where it entered the woods and disappeared.


Saturday 09/21/02-

1100: OHRV Complaint: Police were notified that an OHRV operator has been trespassing on private property. Police spoke to the parent of the juvenile and she stated that she would take care of it.

1300: Citizen Assist: Police were notified that a woman had locked herself out of her house. They assisted her in gaining access and then signed her up for the department's Safe Key Program.

1925: Theft: Police were informed that the new "Speed Limit" sign on Malthouse Road had been taken by an unknown person. The Highway Department was notified.

1945: Shots Fired: Police were notified that shots had been fired on Gibbs Avenue. They determined that it was fireworks.

2031: Unwanted Subjects: Police were notified that several subjects were loitering at Mascenic High School. They was dispersed and Police cleared the scene without incident.

2050: Reckless Operation: Police observed a vehicle spinning its tires on Turnpike Road. The vehicle departed the area at a high rate of speed and Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

2235: OHRV Complaint: Police received a complaint about OHRVs operating on Temple Road.

2240: Harassment: Police received a report that a New Ipswich resident's coworker was harassing him and had used some racial slurs. Police are lookng into the matter.

2312: Shots Fired: Police received a report of shots fired on Gibbs Avenue. When they spoke to the complainant, he told them that the incident occurred two to three hours before he called.

2330: Suspicious MV: Police received a report of a suspicious motor vehicle that had been observed the night before on Temple Road. The caller was concerned that the vehicle would return. Police checked the area with negative results.

2340: MV Complaint: Police received a report of a vehicle operating at a high rate of speed on Turnpike Road. The vehicle was gone on arrival.
