09/22/02 to 09/29/02-
Sunday 09/22/02-
0930: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that a residence on Kangas Road had been egged overnight. The resident did not see or hear anything.
1235: MV Complaint: Police received a report that a silver vehicle was operating recklessly on River Road. The license plate given was not on file and the vehicle was gone on arrival.
1335: Animal Complaint: Police received a report that a dead pig had been left in the sand pit on Old Country Road. They determined that it was not a case of animal cruelty and the Animal Control Officer disposed of it properly.
1430: MV Stop: Police stopped Ignazio Marashio, 76, of Bedford, NH on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.
1935: MV Summons: Police stopped Jed Wheeler, 20, of New Ipswich on Turnpike Road and issued a MV Summons with a court date of October 11th for Speed: 67 mph in a 30 mph zone.
2000: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the State Police at a motor vehicle accident on Route 124 in Sharon.
2024: MV Complaint: Police were advised of a vehicle speeding on Wheeler Road. The vehicle was gone on arrival.
2123: Assist Fire Department: Police assisted the fire department with a fire alarm at Warwick Mills.
2151: Tire Fire: Police were advised of a tire fire on Dark Lane. The fire was extinguished by the fire department.
2211: Disorderly Subjects: Police observed a large group of unruly subjects at the lot in the center of town. With the assistance of several agencies the lot was closed down and all parties were dispersed.
2318: Tire Fire: Police were advised of a tire fire on Turnpike Road at the Town Offices. The fire was extinguished by the fire department.
2340: MV Stop: Police stopped Abraham Seppala, 17, of Rindge on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Child Restraints.
2359: Loitering: NH State Police dispersed several unwanted subjects from a local business.
Monday 09/23/02-
0011: MV Complaint: Police observed a blue BMW operating at a high rate of speed on Turnpike Road. They attempted to stop the vehicle, but stopped the pursuit due to safety concerns.
0011: Arrest: As the result of a motor vehicle stop, Police arrested Jacob Dickinson, 20, of New Ipswich for DWI, Transportation of Alcohol by a Minor and on a warrant out of Greenville. They also arrested one passenger, Richard Wallace, 20, of New Ipswich on a warrant out of Greenville.
0259: Criminal Mischief: An unknown person threw approximately three dozen eggs at the Police Station.
0923: Assist Ambulance: Police assisted SVAS with a medical call at the boat launch on Waterloom Pond.
1030: Lost Property: Police received a report that a set of car keys was lost somewhere between Davis Village Road and Ashby Road.
1040: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a Wilton resident with obtaining a fingerprint card for school employment.
1045: Citizen Assist: Police were asked to check the welfare of a New Ipswich resident, as his phone had been busy for four days and the operator had stated that no one was on the line.
1130: Citizen Assist: Police asisted an Antrim resident with obtaining a fingerprint card for school employment.
1446: Alarm: Police responded to a residence on Appleton Road for a burglar alarm. They determined that the homeowner forgot to turn off the alarm for the plumber.
1725: Domestic Dispute: Police responded to Page Hill Road for a domestic dispute. They determined that there was no physical contact, the parties were separated and calmed down.
1902: Assist Fire Department: Police responded to a residence on Appleton Road for a CO2 detector alarm call. The Fire Department and the ambulance also responded and Police cleared the scene to respond to an accident.
1910: Mutual Aid: The Greenville Police Department responded to a disabled motor vehicle call on Highbridge Road while the New Ipswich Police were tied up with another call. The owner of the vehicle was from Greenville.
1933: MV Accident: Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Wheeler Road. Leonard Somero, 78, of New Ipswich struck a deer, causing moderate damage to his vehicle. There were no injuries and the vehicle was driven from the scene.
Tuesday 09/24/02-
0918: MV Complaint: Police received a report that a vehicle passed a school bus while it had its lights flashing. They are looking into the matter.
Wednesday 09/25/02-
0500: Alarm: Police responded to Boynton Middle School for a burglar alarm. They determined that it was a false alarm and cleared the scene.
1115: MV Complaint: Police received a report that a white box truck with black and yellow lettering was seen speeding down Thayer Road. It struck some phone wires and broke them, then continued on to Turnpike Road. Police checked the area with negative results and Verizon was notified of the incident.
1236: Citizen Assist: Police received a report that an unknown person took some bags of concrete mix from Belletete's and left $72.00 under the store's front door. Police are checking to ensure that the person did not take more concrete than he paid for.
1405: JV Complaint: Police are investigating a report that a student assaulted another student on the Mascenic school bus.
1730: Assist Fire Department: Police assisted the Fire Department at an alarm on Turnpike Road. The Fire Department determined that the alarm was caused by smoke from burnt food.
Thursday 09/26/02-
1603: Alarm: Police responded to a residence on Appleton Road for an alarm. They determined that it was accidental and cleared the scene.
Friday 09/27/02-
0421: Alarm: Police responded to Boynton School for a burglar alarm. They determined that it was a false alarm and cleared the scene.
1519: Alarm: Police responded to a New Ipswich residence for a Lifeline activation. The resident stated that he was fine and did not know how the alarm had been activated.
1633: MV Accident: Police responded to a two car accident at the intersection of Turnpike and Sharon Roads. Mary Esposito, 48, of Rindge was travelling on Turnpike Road when she struck a vehicle operated by George Slyman, 63, of New Ipswich. Mr. Slyman was turning left from Sharon Road onto Turnpike Road when he failed to yield to Ms. Esposito. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to the hospital for treatment and both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
1905: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that some "No Trespassing" signs had been taken from the area off Old Country Road known as "Little AZ".
1937: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Greenville Police with an arrest in Greenville.
2033: Arrest: Police received a report of a possibly intoxicated male subject who had broken a speed limit sign on Perry Road. Police determined that the subject was Adam Gautreau, 18, of New Ipswich and subsequently arrested him for Criminal Mischief.
2117: Arrest: Police took two intoxicated juveniles into Protective Custody and released them to their parents.
Saturday 09/28/02-
0045: Mutual Aid: At the request of the Greenville Police, a Jaffrey resident was transported to the Jaffrey town line.
0828: OHRV Complaint: Police received a complaint about ongoing problems with OHRVs on Stowell Road.
0953: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a citizen with obtaining information on how to resolve a civil matter.
1020: Dometic Dispute: Police assisted a New Ipswich resident with obtaining an emergency Protective Order. The order was served to the subject without incident.
1331: Citizen Assist: Police gave a stranded citizen a ride to their residence.
1430: OHRV Complaint: Police observed a resident of Temple Road operating a dirt bike on Green Farm Road, which is a private road. He was advised to stay off the public ways.
1659: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a New Ipswich resident with a civil matter.
1830: Alarm: Police responded to Appleton School for a burglar alarm. They determined that it was set off by contractors and cleared the scene.
1955: Mutual Aid: The State Police received a report of a stack of tires on Temple Road by the town line. Police observed two tires in Temple on Hadley Highway, but were unable to retrieve them.
2250: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Greenville Police with a call in Greenville.
Sunday 09/29/02-
1023: Theft: Police received a report that some items were missing from a house on Joy Lane. Police determined that another family member had taken the items.
1310: OHRV Complaint: Police received a complaint of OHRVs on Gibbs Avenue. They checked the area numerous times with negative results.
1520: OHRV Complaint: Police received a complaint of OHRVs on Binney Hill Road. The area was checked with negative results.
