Police Log Week Ending 11/10/2001



11/4/01 to 11/10/01


Monday 11/5/01-

11:05 AM: Bank of New Hampshire reported that unknown individual(s) had shot paint balls at their sign on Turnpike Road. There was no damage to the sign.

4:30 PM: Chief Connell investigated a 911 Hang-up on Perry Road and found it to be accidental.

6:36 PM: Police received an OHRV complaint from a resident of Temple Road.

8:01 PM: Police responded to a neighbor dispute on Turnpike Road. The situation was resolved by Officer Walker without incident.


Tuesday 11/6/01-

10:45 AM: A resident of Mason Road reported an injured fox in her backyard. The Animal Control Officer was notified.

3:40 PM: Chief Connell responded to a report of wires down on River Road. A cable TV wire was found to be down and the owner of the house was notified.

5:20 PM: A resident of Turnpike Road reported that the driver's side window in his car had been broken by unknown individual(s). Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

10:30 PM: A Jaffrey resident reported that he had struck a dog on Turnpike Road by Dark Lane. The animal was dead on impact and the Animal Control Officer was called to respond.


Wednesday 11/7/01-

6:17 PM: An alarm was received for the Barrett House on Main Street. Officer Follomon and Greenville Police Officer Connelly responded to check the building, which was secure.


Thursday 11/8/01-

4:20 PM: A resident of Appleton Road reported a lost Golden Retriever puppy. The Animal Control Officer was notified.

4:55 PM: Officer Follomon assisted the ambulance with an intoxicated man on Willard Road. The man refused treatment and his daughter and wife were called to take care of him.


Friday 11/9/01-

9:35 AM: A resident of Will Drive reported that someone had torn down a mailbox and a "house for Sale Sign" on his road.

10:15 PM: A resident of Kenneybeck Court reported two houses with the front doors open on her road. Officer Chatel investigated and was informed by the residents that the doors were new and they were having trouble closing them properly.

12:10 PM: Officer Chatel investigated a report of a possible stolen bicycle on Green Farm Road. The situation was resolved by the parents of the juveniles involved.

5:05 PM: Officer Chatel investigated a report of a dog chasing people on Upper School Street. The area was checked and no dog was found to be running loose.

10:44 PM: Jessica Huntington, 17, 0f Rindge drove her white Volkswagen off the road and into the trees near 93 Timbertop Road. The driver sustained minor injuries and the vehicle sustained damage to the front end.


Saturday 11/10/01-

12:47 PM: Officer Chatel assisted the ambulance crew with an elderly resident of Main Street, who was taken to MCH for treatment.

5:50 PM: Daniel Parr, 34, of New Ipswich, reported that he had struck a deer on Turnpike Road near the Mobil Station. His 2002 Chevrolet pickup sustained damage to the hood, front bumper and passenger side headlight.

6:10 PM: Officer Kandoll investigated a noise complaint on Ashlawn Farm Road. Nothing was heard after 10 minutes in the area.
