11/04/02 to 11/10/02-



Monday 11/04/02-

0224: Suspicious MV: Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle on Page Hill Road. The vehicle was gone on arrival.

0930: Theft: Police received a report that a trash compactor had been stolen from a construction site on Jamel Drive. Police are investigating.

0957: Assist Ambulance: Police assisted SVAS with a medical call on Upper Pratt Pond Road.

1043: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that an unknown subject shot paintballs at a house on Taylor Road, breaking one of the windows.

1047: Burglary: Police received a report that an unknown subject entered a home on Timbertop Road and stole a boiler. The incident is under investigation.

1330: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that an unknown subject shot paintballs at a house on Timbertop Road.

1530: Lost Property: Police received a report that a black purse was lost on Spindleback Lane. The purse was not turned in to the Police Department.

1705: Unwanted Subject: Police received a report that a Massachusetts resident was trespassing on private property on West Binney Hill Road. The matter was resolved without incident.


Tuesday 11/05/02-

0920: Domestic Dispute: Police responded to a New Ipswich residence to assist in resolving a domestic dispute. No assault occurred and Police cleared the scene after the subjects agreed to work out their differences.

1155: Harassing Phone Calls: Police spoke to a New Ipswich resident about harassing phone calls that she is receiving. They are working with a Police Department in Iowa to resolve the matter.

1533: MV Complaint: Police received a report of a vehicle that operates recklessly every day on Thayer Road. Police are looking into the matter.


Wednesday 11/06/02-

0845: MV Accident: Police received a report that a vehicle went off the road on Stowell Road due to inclement weather. The accident occurred before Police came on duty and the driver was advised to file an Operator's report with the State.

0958: Follow Up: Police conducted a follow up investigation with DCYF.

1151: Follow Up: Police conducted a follow up investigation on a harassing phone calls case.

1200: Citizen Assist: Police spoke to a New Ipswich resident who was concerned about an acquaintance who had been arrested.

1245: Follow Up: Police conducted a follow up investigation on a harassment case.

1800: MV Stop: Police stopped Jennifer Sandstrom, 25, of New Ipswich on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Defective Equipment: Tail Light.

1834: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that an unknown subject had damaged a mailbox on Fox Farm Road.

2016: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that an unknown subject had damaged a mailbox on Goen Road.

2134: Suspicious Activity: Police observed an unattended burn across the street from Appleton Business Center. They informed the Fire Chief, who will be dealing with the matter.


Thursday 11/07/02-

0845: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that several mailboxes on Binney Hill Road were damaged by an unknown person.

0940: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Greenville Police at the scene of a house fire in Greenville.

1012: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a woman who had accidentally locked her keys and her child in the car.

1301: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that an unknown subject damaged a mailbox on Fox Farm Road.

1625: Abandoned MV: Police received a report of an abandoned vehicle on Emerson Hill Road. They are looking into the matter.

2345: Suspicious Person: Police received a report of a suspicious person walking on Highbridge Road. Police spoke to the subject, who was on his way home to Greenville, and gave him a ride.


Friday 11/08/02-

0010: MV Stop: Police stopped Garrett Martin-Stedman, 21, of Mason on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

0025: Abandoned MV: Police found an abandoned vehicle on Turnpike Road and had it towed, as it posed a safety hazard. They were unable to contact the owner.

1309: Assist Ambulance: Police assisted SVAS with a medical call at a residence on Ashby Road.

1445: MV Stop: Police stopped Andrea Gage, 21, of Hancock on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

1455: OHRV Complaint: Police received a report of a very loud OHRV operating on Greenfarm Road. They spoke to the possible operator, and to his father, in an attempt to resolve the situation.

1510: Shots Fired: Police received a report from a residence of Gibbs Avenue that his neighbor was shooting a weapon in what he felt was an unsafe manner. This is part of an ongoing neighbor dispute and Police are aware of the situation.

1627: OHRV Complaint: Police received a report that an OHRV was operating on Greenfarm Road.

1630: Follow Up: Police conducted a follow up investigation on a theft case.

1640: Road Debris: Police received a report that there was debris in the road near a construction site on Page Hill Road. Police observed some dirt in the road, but nothing that could be classified as a road hazard. They cleared the scene.

1700: OHRV Complaint: Police responded to Greenfarm Road for an OHRV complaint. The vehicle was not on the road, but they did speak to the possible operator about the situation.

1715: Assist Ambulance: Police assisted SVAS at a medical on West Binney Hill Road.

2110: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Nashua Police with information on a robbery suspect who is from New Ipswich.

2145: Theft: Police received a report that a dirt bike was stolen from a residence on Turnpike Road. Police are looking into the matter.

2345: Citizen Assist: Police observed a woman walking alone in the rain and offered to give her a ride, but she was almost at her destination and declined the offer.


Saturday 11/09/02-

1035: Abandoned MV: Police towed two abandoned and unregistered vehicles from Emerson Hill Road.

1419: OHRV Complaint: Police received a report of OHRVs on Greenfarm Road. The vehicles were gone on arrival.

1805: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that juveniles on Greenfarm Road were throwing rocks at a house and a stop sign. They spoke to some of the residents and cleared the scene without incident.

1845: Civil Matter: Police assisted a citizen in resolving a child custody matter.


Sunday 11/10/02-

0930: Civil Standby: Police stood by at a residence on Temple Road while an employer went to retrieve keys from his former employee.

1140: MV Accident: Police were informed of a motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road by the Town Offices. On arrival, they spoke to Mary Lanthier of Peterborough who lost control of her vehicle while attempting to swat a bug. The vehicle struck the curb, causing two flat tires. There was no other damage and the driver was uninjured.

1240: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that an unknown subject damaged a mailbox on Ashburnham Road.

1341: Mutual Aid: Police assisted a Fish and Game officer with an OHRV stop on Davis Village Road.

1420: MV Complaint: Police received a report of a vehicle operating recklessly on Turnpike Road. The vehicle was gone on arrival.

1444: Arrest: As the result of a motor vehicle stop, Police arrested Asa Hatfield, 20, of New Ipswich for DWI.
