11/25/02 to 12/001/02-



Monday 11/25/02-

0842: Harassment: Police spoke to a New Ipswich resident about harassing messages she is receiving. The incident is under investigation.

1000: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a New Ipswich resident with obtaining a fingerprint card for school employment.

1035: Abandoned MV: Police received a report of an abandoned vehicle on Emerson Hill Road. The owner of the vehicle was not at home.

1852: Assist Ambulance: Police assisted SVAS with a medical call at a residence on Tote Road.


Tuesday 11/26/02-

0900: Abandoned MV: Police were notified that a vehicle was still abandoned on Emerson Hill Road. They spoke to the owner of the vehicle, who stated that he would move it.

1000: MV Accident: Police responded to a motor vehicle accident at the NeWest Mall. A Budweiser truck backed into a vehicle in the parking lot, causing minor damage. There were no injuries.

1027: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a New Ipswich resident with resolving a domestic matter.

1456: MV Stop: Police stopped Derek Hakala, 20, of New Ipswich on Ashby Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

1511: MV Stop: Police stopped Mindy Henault, 20, of New Ipswich on Temple Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

1605: MV Complaint: Police received a report of vehicles racing on River and Ashburnham Roads. They were gone on arrival.

1719: MV Summons: Police stopped Chesley Wohner, 30, of Peterborough on Turnpike Road and issued a MV Summons for Speed: 62 mph in a 45 mph zone.

1830: MV Summons: Police stopped Daniel Pento, 58, of Londonderry, NH on Turnpike Road and issued a MV Summons for Speed: 60 mph in a 45 mph zone.


Wednesday 11/27/02-

0708: MV Off the Road: Police responded to Turnpike Road for a report of a motor vehicle off the road. Edward Tokarski, 42, of New Ipswich lost control of his car and slid off the road. There were no injuries or damage.

0835: MV Off the Road: Police received a report of a vehicle off the road on Poor Farm Road. The vehicle was gone on arrival.

0850: MV Off the Road Police responded to Sharon Road for a motor vehicle off the road. Jessica Balsam, 18, of New Ipswich lost control of her vehicle and slid off the road. There were no injuries and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

1250: Harassment: Police were notified that an unknown individual claiming to be a law enforcement official was calling a New Ipswich resident and harassing him. The matter is under investigation.

1251: 911 Hang Up: Police responded to a residence on Porter Hill Road for a 911 Hang Up call. They determined that a child was playing with the phone and cleared the scene.

1430: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that a small SUV had driven by a residence on Main Street the night before and shot paintballs at the house.

1715: Animal Complaint: Police received a report that a wounded deer was observed on Turnpike Road near Tricnit Road. They searched for the animal for half an hour with negative results. They were later informed that a resident shot the deer and notified Fish and Game.

1815: MV Stop: Police stopped Tracy Brosque, 35, of Rindge on Ashby Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

1835: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a New Ipswich resident with obtaining information about hunting laws.

2008: Assist Fire Department: Police assisted the Fire Department at a fire call on Ashburnham Road.


Thursday 11/28/02-

1050: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Mason Police with a call in Mason at the Massachusetts state line.

1240: Alarm: Police responded to a burglar alarm at a church on Main Street. There were no signs of forced entry and Police cleared the scene after speaking to the keyholder.

1320: Citizen Assist: Police were approached by a Massachusetts resident on Turnpike Road. She was lost and looking for her brother's house. Police located the address and had the woman follow them in her car.

1635: Citizen Assist: Police were asked to check the welfare of an elderly couple, as their daughter had been unable to get in touch with them.

1842: Animal Complaint: Police received a report of a cow wandering in the middle of Mason Road. The animal was gone on arrival.

2020: Harassment: Police received a report of suspicious phone calls at a residence on Goen Road. They determined that it was a possibly intoxicated caller who had the wrong number.

2237: Alarm: Police responded to a burglar alarm at a church on Main Street. They determined that it was a false alarm and cleared the scene.

2255: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a New Ipswich resident who was locked out of their car.

2310: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that a vehicle on Academy Road was struck by paintballs.


Friday 11/29/02-

1129: Fire Alarm: Police assisted the Fire Department at a false alarm on Timbertop Road.

1256: Mutual Aid: Police were asked by the Ashby Police to serve paperwork to a New Ipswich resident.

2127: Citizen Assist: Police were informed that an unknown person had constructed a wall of snow across Greenfarm Road by Stoneridge Road. They removed the snow from the road so that residents could get through.

2130: Police Information: Police were contacted by the Cambridge, MA Police in reference to an identity theft case they were investigating.

2224: Domestic Dispute: Police responded to a residence on Turnpike Road for a verbal dispute. One of the parties decided to leave the residence for the night and Police cleared the scene without incident.

2307: Alarm: Police responded to a business on Turnpike Road for an alarm. They determined that it was a false alarm and cleared the scene.

2340: Citizen Assist: Police spoke to a New Ipswich resident about the process for obtaining a restraining order.

2353: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Mason Police.


Saturday 11/30/02-

1045: Abandoned MV: Police spoke to an employee of the Barrett House in reference to vehicles that were found abandoned on the property.

1048: 911 Hang Up: Police were asked to respond to a residence for a 911 Hang Up. They determined that the residence was in Sharon and the woman was just calling to get information on laws. She was referred to the State Police.

1150: MV Summons: Police stopped Shelly Cardoza, 35, of Dracut, MA on Turnpike Road and issued a MV Summons for Speed: 56 mph in a 30 mph zone.

1255: MV Summons: Police stopped Andrew Kowalewski, 31, of Philadelphia, PA on Turnpike Road and issued a MV Summons for Speed: 60 mph in a 30 mph zone. They also issued a Written Warning for not having his license on his person.

1335: MV Summons: Police stopped James Voner, 31, of New Ipswich on Ashby Road and issued a MV Summons for Uninspected Vehicle. They also issued a Written Warning for Speed.

1400: Citizen Assist: Police observed that a cover for a well at Mascenic had been pushed out of place, causing a safety hazard. Police paged a school employee to inform him of the situation.

1715: MV Accident: Police responded to Nashua Road on the Sharon line for a report of a motor vehicle accident. They determined that a Jaffrey resident swerved to avoid a deer and slid backwards into some water. the vehicle was towed out of the water. There were no injuries or damage.

1915: Citizen Assist: Police were informed that an unknown person had constructed another wall of snow across Greenfarm Road by Stoneridge Road. They removed the snow from the road so that residents could get through.

2000: MV Accident: Police responded to the Somero Lot on Turnpike Road for a motor vehicle accident. A vehicle was attempting to back out of the lot when he struck another vehicle. There was minor damage to the second vehicle, but no injuries.

2015: MV Accident: Police responded to Turnpike Road at the Windblown Ski Area for a motor vehicle accident. Natasha Juntunen, 16, of Michigan lost control of her vehicle and struck a guard rail. The passengers in the vehicle were given a courtesy ride to a residence in Rindge.


Sunday 12/01/02-

0918: MV Stop: Police stopped Elizabeth Grosjean, 61, of Hancock, NH on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

0920: Animal Complaint: Police received a report that a horse was running loose on Turnpike Road by the ambulance bay. With the assistance of the Greenville Police they were able to capture the horse and put it back in the barn.

1043: Assist Ambulance: Police assisted SVAS with a medical call on Stoneridge Road.

1525: MV Stop: Police stopped Victor Sennik, 26, of Nashua, NH on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

1749: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that someone threw a tire at a residence on Poor Farm Road. The residents did not observe anyone in the area.

1825: Unwanted Subject: Police responded to a residence on Perry Road for an unwanted subject. The matter was resolved without incident.

1941: Citizen Assist: Police were notified of icy road conditions on Timbertop Road. They notified the Highway Department, who took care of the matter.

2131: Assist Ambulance: Police assisted SVAS with a medical call on Perry Road.
