12/02/02 to 12/08/02-



Monday 12/02/02-

0050: OHRV Complaint: Police observed a snowmobile operating at a high rate of speed on Turnpike Road. The vehicle drove into the woods by Windblown.

0907: MV Stop: Police stopped Jean Lindquist, 50, of Ashby, MA on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed: School Zone.

0915: MV Stop: Police stopped Robert Grant, 45, of Jaffrey on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

1125: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a Keene resident with obtaining a fingerprint card for school employment.

1327: Citizen Assist: Police checked the welfare of a New Ipswich resident after her mother expressed concerns about her state of mind.

2240: Abandoned MV: Police observed an abandoned vehicle on Highbridge Road. They had the owner remove it, due to inclement weather.


Tuesday 12/03/02-

0359: MV Off the Road: Police responded to Turnpike Road by Windblown Ski Area to assist a motorist who was unable to make it up the hill due to inclement weather.

0815: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a Mason resident with obtaining a fingerprint card for school employment.

0841: MV Off the Road: Police responded to assist a motorist off the road on Turnpike Road. The driver was blinded by the sun, lost control of the vehicle and drove into a ditch. There was no damage.

1325: Theft: Police spoke to a New Ipswich resident, who stated that he bought an item on eBay and never received it. The item was delivered two days later and the case was closed.

1750: MV Off the Road: Police responded to Greenville Road to assist a motorist who went off the road.The vehicle was towed back onto the road and Police cleared the scene.

1804: Disabled MV: Police assisted a Temple resident with a disabled motor vehicle on Route 45.

2004: MV Accident: Police responded to Binney Hill Road for a single motor vehicle accident. Adam Traffie, 17, of New Ipswich lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree. The vehicle was totalled, but Traffie was not injured.


Wednesday 12/04/02-

0730: MV Stop: Police stopped Tristan Riggs, 18, of New Ipswich on Temple Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

0805: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that someone shot paint balls at a vehicle parked on Temple Road. No one was observed in the area.

0820: MV Summons: Police stopped Rebecca Bliss, 37, of Greenville on Turnpike Road and issued a Summons for School Zone Speed: 47 mph in a 20 mph zone.

0830: MV Summons: Police stopped Kimberly Orr, 41, of Pepperell, MA on Turnpike Road and issued a Summons for School Zone Speed: 43 mph in a 20 mph zone.

0855: MV Complaint: Police received a report that a vehicle passed a school bus when it was dropping off some children. Police spoke to the owner of the vehicle about the incident.

0925: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that someone shot paint balls at a house on Old Wilton Road. No one was observed in the area.

1115: MV Accident: Police responded to a single vehicle accident on Greenville Road. Nina Dilger, 28, of New Ipswich lost control of her vehicle due to road conditions. There was minor damage to the vehicle and the driver and her two small children were transported to the hospital for evaluation.

1310: Bad Checks: Police took a report from a New Ipswich business in reference to a bad check that was issued by a New Ipswich resident. They are following up on the matter.

1424: MV Complaint: Police received a report a vehicle was stopped for a woman in a crosswalk when a vehicle registered to Jed Wheeler, 21, of New Ipswich passed the bus on a solid line and almost struck the pedestrian. Police issued two MV Summons to the owner of the vehicle, one for a Yellow Line Violation and one for Failure to Stop for a Pedestrian in a Crosswalk.

1503: MV Summons: Police stopped Michelle Foster, 27, of Weare, NH on Turnpike Road and issued a Summons for School Zone Speed: 39 mph in a 20 mph zone.

1730: MV Stop: Police stopped Maureeen O'Brien Brown, 60, of Fitzwilliam, NH on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

1830: MV Stop: Police stopped Raymond Morris, 43, of Temple on Route 45 and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

2324: Citizen Assist: Police and Fire assisted a New Ipswich resident who needed a lift assist.


Thursday 12/05/02-

1635: MV Accident: Police responded to Turnpike Road for a motor vehicle accident. Rhonda Menegos, 37, of Jaffrey lost control of her vehicle and slid into a vehicle driven by Glen Hietala, 46, of New Ipswich. There was damage to Menegos' vehicle and she sustained minor injuries. There was no damage to either Hietala or his vehicle.

2208: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Mason Police with an accident in Mason.


Friday 12/06/02-

0935: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that a residence on Temple Road was struck by paint balls sometime Monday night.

0950: Animal Complaint: Police received a report that a dog was loose on Malthouse Road and it was making residents nervous. Police spoke to the owner, who stated that the dog was back in the house and was not vicious.

1229: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that a residence on Temple Road was struck by paint balls.

1540: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a resident with obtaining a VIN Verification for a vehicle.

2100: MV Stop: Police stopped Bradford Reilly, 43, of New Ipswich on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

2210: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a Greenville resident with their disabled vehicle.

2232: Domestic Dispute: Police were informed that there was a possible domestic dispute on Wheeler Road. On arrival, Police determined that two parties were having an argument and one had decided to walk home. Police cleared the scene.


Saturday 12/07/02-

1005: MV Off the Road: Police assisted a motorist on North Road after she slid into some snow. There was no damage to the vehicle.

1205: Theft: Police received a report that a stereo was stolen from a car parked at a residence on Turnpike Road. Police are investigating the matter.

1708: OHRV Complaint: Police were notified that an OHRV was operating on Turnpike Road. The vehicle was gone on arrival.

1752: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a resident with their disabled motor vehicle on Turnpike Road.

1845: Road Hazard: Police observed a mattress at the bridge on Highbridge Road. There was no one in the area and Police arranged to have it removed.

1845: Animal vs MV: Police observed a cat in the middle of Turnpike Road that had been struck and killed by a car. The Animal Control Officer took care of the matter.

1912: Shots Fired: Police responded to a shots fired call on River Road. They determined that the noise was fireworks. No one was observed with fireworks in their possession and Police cleared the scene.

1928: OHRV Complaint: Police were informed that an OHRV was operating on Ashby Road. The vehicle was gone on arrival.

2015: Assist Ambulance: Police assisted SVAS with a medical call on Turnpike Road.

2152: Follow Up: Police spoke to a New Ipswich resident about an accident she was involved in the week before.

2214: MV Stop: Police stopped Tamara Andrew-Birch, 31, of New Ipswich on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Uninspected MV.

2330: MV Off the Road: Police responded to Stowell Road for a report of a motor vehicle that fell through the ice. No one was observed in the area and the tow truck was unable to get the vehicle out of the water. The tow company took care of the vehicle the next morning.


Sunday 12/08/02-

0432: Alarm: State Police responded to a burglar alarm on Mountainview Road. They determined that it was a false alarm and cleared the scene.

1410: Burglary: Police responded to a residence on Upper Pratt Pond Road that had been burglarized. Police are investigating the matter.

1610: Alarm: Police responded to a burglar alarm at Apppleton School. They determined that it was a false alarm and cleared the scene.

1806: Alarm: Police responded to a business on Playground Road for a burglar alarm. They determined that it was a false alarm and cleared the scene.

1915: MV Stop: Police stopped Liane Rousseau, 30, of Peterborough on Sharon Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.
