12/16/02 to 12/22/02-



Monday 12/16/02-

0636: MV Accident: Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Timbertop Road.

0650: MV Off the Road: Police responded to a motor vehicle off the road on Temple Road. Elizabeth Smith of New Ipswich lost control of her vehicle and struck a street sign. The only damage was to the sign and there were no injuries.

0732: 911 Hang Up: Police responded to Tricnit Road for a 911 Hang Up.

0930: Citizen Assist: Police assisted two New Ipswich residents with obtaining fingerprint cards for school employment.

0940: MV Accident: Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. Jordan Bergeron, 17, of New Ipswich lost control of his vehicle due to road conditions and struck a parked vehicle.

1030: MV Accident: Police responded to an accident on Turnpike Road. Fred Oinonen, 83, of Greenville lost control of his vehicle due to road conditions and the vehicle overturned. There were no injuries and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

1639: Assist Ambulance: Police assisted SVAS with a medical call on Appleton Road.

1650: Citizen Assist: Police were notified that Collins Road was covered with glare ice and no one could get up the hill. Police notified the Road Agent.


Tuesday 12/17/02-

0719: Assist Ambulance: Police assisted SVAS with a medical call on Main Street.

0755: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a Jaffrey resident with obtaining a fingerprint card for school employment.

1100: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a New Ipswich resident with obtaining a fingerprint card for school employment.

1205: Citizen Assist: Police called a tow truck for a woman who got her car stuck in the mud on Goen Road.

1730:Disabled MV: Police assisted a Rindge resident with a disabled vehicle on Turnpike Road.


Wednesday 12/18/02-

0005: MV Complaint: Police were notified that a silver vehicle exited the lot across from the Fire Department at a high rate of speed and passed another vehicle on a double yellow line. No plate number was given and the vehicle was gone on arrival.

0730: MV Stop: Police stopped Nathan Somero, 35, of New Ipswich on River Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

0824: Assist Ambulance: Police assisted SVAS with a medical call at a residence on Appleton Road.

1155: MV Stop: Police stopped Carol Mahoney, 36, of of New Ipswich on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

1230: Bad Checks: Police are investigating a report of a bad check that was issued to a local business.

1256: 911 Hang Up: Police responded to a 911 Hang Up on Burpee Lane. They determined that it was accidental and cleared the scene.


Thursday 12/19/02-

1505: Citizen Assist: Police received a report that Mountain View Drive was covered with ice and unsafe. The Road Agent was notified.

1623: MV Stop: Police stopped Roberta Andres, 52, of New Ipswich on Highbridge Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

2030: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the State Police at a motor vehicle accident in Sharon.

2111: 911 Hang Up: Police responded to a residence on Mountain View Drive for a 911 Hang Up call. They determined that the residents had called 911 for medical assistance and then changed their minds after they took care of the issue themselves. Police cleared the scene without incident.



2125: Citizen Assist: Police were notified that a portion of Timbertop Road had washed out and was impassable. Police were unable to get up the road and the Road Agent was notified.

2305: MV Stop: Police stopped Heather Pederson, 23, of Jaffrey on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.


Friday 12/20/02-

1515: MV Accident: Police responded to an accident on Main Street. Jose Martinez, 23, of New Ipswich lost control of his vehicle and struck a rock wall and a fence. There was no injury, but there was damage to the wall and fence.

1926: MV Stop: Police stopped Scott Vlasak, 26, of Woburn, MA on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

2236: Domestic Dispute: Police responded to a residence on Turnpike Road for a report of a domestic dispute. A man got into a verbal dispute with his sister and Police escorted him out of the residence and to another family member's residence for the night.


Saturday 12/21/02-

1340: Mutual Aid: Police assisted the Ashby Police in an attempt to locate a New Ipswich resident.

1629: MV Accident: Police responded to a vehicle accident on River Road. Roma Cahalan, 79, of New Ipswich lost control of her vehicle and struck some trees.

1644: Citizen Assist: Police were notified that conditions on Turnpike Road were hazardous to drive. The State Highway was notified.

1750: MV Accident: Police were notified that an accident occurred on Timbertop Road. The vehicles were moved before Police arrived.

2200: Loose Dog: Police picked up a loose dog on Stowell Road and locked it up in the kennel.


Sunday 12/22/02-

0840: MV Stop: Police stopped Jacqueline Sullivan, 40, of Medford, MA on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

0850: MV Stop: Police stopped Dianna Krook, 20, of New Ipswich on North Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

1240: MV Complaint: Police received a complaint that a vehicle was operating recklessly on Turnpike Road. The vehicle was gone on arrival.

1758: MV Stop: Police stopped Malcolm Sewell, 46, of Peterborough on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

1839: MV Stop: Police stopped Catherine Albert, 31, of East Falmouth, MA on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.
