12/23/02 to 12/29/02-



Monday 12/23/02-

0840: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that an unknown person had thrown a beer bottle at a vehicle parked on Main Street the night before.

1015: Missing Person: Police received a report that a juvenile from New Ipswich and a juvenile from Greenville were missing. The two juveniles returned home later that day.

1030: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a New Ipswich resident with obtaining a fingerprint card for school employment.

1050: Citizen Assist: Police assisted a Mason resident with obtaining a fingerprint card for school employment.

1430: Lost Property: Police received a report that a side curtain for a bulldozer was lost near the NeWest Mall.

1856: Alarm: Police responded to a burglar alarm at a business on Turnpike Road. They determined that it was set off accidentally by an employee and cleared the scene.

2100: Assist Fire Department: Police assisted the Fire Department at the scene of a house fire on Turnpike Road. They are working with the Fire Marshal's Office on an investigation into the cause of the fire.

2110: MV Stop: Police stopped Joshua Saari, 17, of New Ipswich on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

2125: MV Stop: Police stopped Marleen Benoit, 49, of New Ipswich on Highbridge Road and issued a Written Warning for Defective Equipment: Plate Light.

2135: MV Stop: Police stopped Douglas Nichols, 21, of New Ipswich on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

2155: MV Stop: Police stopped John Kelly, 42, of Hillsborough on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

2255: MV Stop: Police stopped Stephanie Newton, 25, of New Ipswich on Highbridge Road and issued a Written Warning for Defective Equipment: Headlight.

2305: MV Stop: Police stopped Irena Parhiala, 63, of New Ipswich on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.


Tuesday 12/24/02-

0754: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that an unknown subject spray painted a derogatory message onto the sidewalk at Mascenic High School.

0957: Lost Property: A New Ipswich resident reported that one of his vehicle's license plates fell off.

1620: MV Stop: Police stopped Jennifer Nichols, 33, of Greenville on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Defective Equipment: Headlight.

1635: MV Stop: Police stopped Warren Monsignore, 36, of New Ipswich on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Defective Equipment: Exhaust.


Wednesday 12/25/02-

1850: Citizen Assist: Police were asked by a Greenville resident to check the welfare of her children, as they had been out driving and were late getting home.

2235: MV Off the Road: Police responded to Turnpike Road to assist a motorist who lost control of his vehicle due to the weather.


Thursday 12/26/02-

0758: MV Accident: Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. Andrew Hoyt, 41, of New Ipswich lost control of his vehicle at approximately 5:00 PM the night before. He slid off the road and the vehicle landed on its right side in some trees approximately 20 feet from the road. Hoyt spent the night in his vehicle and reported the accident the next morning. The vehicle was badly damaged but Hoyt did not require medical attention.

0908: Domestic Dispute: Police responded to a domestic dispute at a residence on Turnpike Road. They determined that it was verbal and cleared the scene after one of the parties decided to spend the night at a relative's house.

1108: JV Complaint: Police received a report that some juveniles were on Porter Hill Road in sleds. They were advised that they couldn't ride in the road due to safety concerns and the juveniles went elsewhere.

1400: Domestic Dispute: Police responded to a domestic dispute at a residence on Turnpike Road.They determined that it was verbal and cleared the scene.

1517: MV Accident: Police responded to an accident on Thayer Road. Jose Martinez, 23, of New Ipswich lost control of his vehicle due to speed and struck a vehicle operated by Lori Allen, 32, of New Ipswich. Alen was transported to MCH and treated for a dislocated shoulder. A juvenile passenger in Allen's car and Martinez were both uninjured. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

2321: Arrest: Police arrested Natalie Nolin, 39, of New Ipswich for Simple Assault at a residence on Lower Pratt Pond Road. She was bailed and released.


Friday 12/27/02-

1241: MV Accident: Police responded to the Highway Garage for a report of a minor accident. A vehicle driven by a contractor struck a Highway Department employee's vehicle and caused some minor damage.

1610: Civil Standby: Police conducted a Civil Standby at a residence on Lower Pratt Pond Road.

1716: Property Damage: Police received a report that a plow damaged a mailbox on Davis Village Road.

1757: Assist Fire Department: Police assisted the Fire Department at a chimney fire on Oak Hill Road. The fire was out upon arrival and Police cleared the scene.

1929: Dog Complaint: Police received a report that a dog was chasing people on Mill Street. The Animal Control Officer dealt with the situation.

2015: Arrest: Police arrested Santos Martinez, 20, of New Ipswich at a residence on Thayer Road for False Imprisonment.

2315: MV Stop: Police stopped David McNeff, 51, of Carlisle, MA on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.


Saturday 12/28/02-

0852: Alarm: Police responded to Mascenic High School for a burglar alarm. They determined that it was accidental and cleared the scene.

1240: Alarm: Police responded to Mascenic High School for a burglar alarm. They determined that it was accidental and cleared the scene.

1430: 911 Hang Up: Police responded to a residence on Smithville Road for a 911 Hang up. They determined that it was caused by a child playing with the phone and cleared the scene.

2235: Assist Fire Department: Police assisted the Fire Department at a fire alarm on Page Hill Road. It was determined to be accidental and Police cleared the scene.


Sunday 12/29/02-

1001: MV Stop: Police stopped Seth Asser, 52, of Shrewesbury, MA on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.

1009: Dog Complaint: Police received a report that a dog was running loose on River Road. The animal was gone on arrival.

1505: Criminal Mischief: Police received a report that an unknown subject shot some pellets at a residence on Greenville Road the night before. The pellets caused damage to the vinyl siding.

1550: MV Stop: Police stopped Lisa Digesse, 34, of New Ipswich on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Unregistered Vehicle. She was given until January 3rd to provide proof of registration or else a Summons would be issued.

1830: MV Stop: Police stopped Paul Heald, 35, of Lunenburg, MA on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for a Stop Sign Violation.

1930: MV Stop: Police stopped Mitchell Beausoleil, 21, of New Ipswich on Turnpike Road and issued a Written Warning for Speed.
